There is no battle between companies and Ether. As far as I know, companies like Amazon are actively working on implementing blockchain in their structure and are mainly using Ethereum for their transactions in crypto world.
We don't have to worry if the big companies trying to compete with ethereum and that won't kill ethereum. As long as there is strong support from the community and the coin can survive in the market, I think that will not happen. But that is possible if the big companies trying to stop ethereum with their innovation in the technology and they have a better network than ethereum.

And how would they if I may ask you, those companies that you mentioned are big in their own space, so as Ethereum too is big in his own space, do you know the worth of Ethereum also, the fact they have not declared it does not mean they are not big, so don’t just think that Ethereum not big also. I completely share your thought on that. Ethereum is also a big company or project on its own. I see a significant struggle by the ethereum developers to keep the project afloat which most definitely will yield. The project only needs time to scale to the expected height.

Aside Facebook, I don’t think that there is any coin that can ever come up with any technology that can be as strong as ETHEREUM, as they say that experience is the best teacher, do you know how many years of experience that ETHEREUM has had in this field, and ever since they have been established, they have been doing their work very well, and know how to close their loop holes. While big companies has their own platform in real life business so I see no comparison to them both
It's hard nowadays to just simply pumped your coin even you already provided updates but the market still on it's speculation period, the bear season is trying to comes up and with the dominance of bitcoin its harder for investors to put much amount inside alts than putting higher inside bitcoin investment, ETH needs more back up since the possibilities of bigger company to comes up with their own crypto will make it more harder for this coin being pumped high again.
Not only that. Even if you provide updates, it's got to be something the community finds useful in the first place. Even for bitcoin, with segwit, it took forever for services to upgrade and until today you still have some sites refusing to even do it despite the benefits. Bear season has very little to do with update related price in my opinion.

I think some words are missing, what you mean is if these big companies will create their own token, if they will do that but the platform is not as competitive like what Ethereum has, I don't think it will succeed, in the first place only Facebook has give us the intention that they are going to create their own coin the others are not.
It is difficult to say, because ethereum team has a huge experience in blockchain technologies and in the whole cryptocurrency sphere, while others companies have much less experience in cryptocurrency, but at the expense of a huge amount of money, they can hire excellent specialists and create top altcoin with new technologies, but for now nobody needs that.

It seems that you have not fully grasped the fact about Decentralisation, these company cannot shut down what they cannot even see or touch ecayse it is owned and controlled by everyone together, unlike central institutions where you can simply drag them to court and shut them down, blockchain exists and the movement has begun.
If they develop similiar blockchain technology for Dapps, then it is possible.

We are waiting for upgrade and even if there’s a new company to create coin they can’t beat the top position altcoins easily. Its cheap, but its technology is more than enough compare to any blockchain technology, smart contracts makes ETH ahead so nothing to worry.

I don't understand what you want to relay, will they create their own token and blockchain and compete with Ethereum, if they are not I don't see any comparison, in what reasons or area will these companies kill Ethereum, since it is a cryptocurrency, only a cryptocurrency can beat it.
Instead of being competitive and trying to destroy, those companies can use ethereum instead. I know it is not that common for us to have those big companies working with stuff that are not theirs and they tend to just buy out the whole company when they want the technology from someone, yet when it is crypto currency they can't just buy all of ethereum so it looks improbable for us that they would do something like that but that seems like easiest way.

Though as at present these companies have 5x more value than ethereum itself and had not made known their intentions to come crypto public, they could be partner with some projects as the institutionalizing continues.
Big companies won't kill Ethereum. ETH dies due to the fact that Vitalik Buterin doesn't want to continue to work on his idea. He does not want to create a world computer and refuses to decentralize. If this goes on, we will soon not see Ethereum in the list of cryptocurrencies.

They are totally different in nature and their system has different usage.
Eth team I can say, has a solid foundation. They are catering a lot of businesses to make their operations easier.
However, a lot of them are abusing the eth network to gain money for themselves.

It's possible for them to be an established currency in the market, but still I think people will not feel comfortable to use centralized currency. Have you seen the other post which talks about the Binance? Binance is trying to hold a big space on the market which most people will not like. The same will be with facebook or whatever.

I think Ethereum will survive well even though it will pop new coins managed by big companies like Facebook or Google.
Ethereum is widespread in every wallet. And it has been well tested that the ethereum platform is safer for storing ERC20 coins.
The ERC20 coin as a supporter of Ethereum is now very much. So my opinion is ethereum remains irreplaceable.
Logically: Bitcoin is the first coin to appear with the blockchain system, after that there are thousands of other coins. Has Bitcoin been defeated by thousands of new coins? certainly not.
Ethereum has gained importance as the leading cryptocurrency next to bitcoin. There is nothing to worry about ethereum getting killed just because of the large companies getting into the payment process. Recently Apple has created its payment service render Apple pay. Those were centralized and ethereum is far beyond the same in terms of innovation. Maybe later years large scale companies will adopt the smart contract platform.
I do not think so. They might have the money, big partners and bigger employee. I do not that is the determining factor. How about "technical know-how", Empirical experience? it will not be that easily, if such will happen.
If they know they can actually take it then they might actually do something about it but at the same time why not take advantage of something that already exists if you want to use something in blockchain world instead of going out of your way and spending a ton of money and man hours to build something from zero if you are not going to take advantage of it.

I am still confused about how big companies can turn off Ethereum. Indeed, they are a big company, but as the other members said above, Ethereum is a payment manner, not a company like them. So it would be better if they support each other and use ETH as one of the payment methods.

I believe that they can hardly be competitors. The fact is that if even the services listed by you launch their own cryptocurrency, then it will only be used to pay for services and goods within these platforms. As for Etherium, it saboy represents the basis for the creation of both new cryptocurrencies, and new platforms, services and Dapps. Even on the basis of this information, we see different directions and applications. In any case, I believe that Etherium will retain leadership, and maybe even become more successful.

If these companies listed above are going to have their own digital currency, I am sure they will want to have a stable coin like we see the Libra coin trying to develop into. When they do this, I am sure they are not going to dethrone ethereum overnight, a lot of projects already using the ethereum platform and we have many operations on the ethereum network, ETH might just still still retain its position in CMC.
Kill Ethereum? Why do you think that these merchants will end ETH? What is the relation? Shouldn't it be better if they could work together? ETH and the merchants have different goals, they are merchants, companies that trade things, social media platforms, and others. Whereas Ethereum is a cryptocurrency.

They can but I don't think they will spend a lot of money to do it. ETH will still live, their coins will probably exceed ETH rank. But you can look at EOS right away, they call billions of dollars, but still haven't passed ETH

amazon, apple has no interest in dropping ethereum, I think what you are discussing is very unproductive.
and even though Facebook now has libra but it doesn't mean that ethereum can be defeated easily, even I'm pessimistic eth will always be the second on the marketcap
i don't think big companies would even attempt doing anything like that specially since there are quite a number of ethereum competitors that are currently growing and not to mention they are a lot better than ethereum as the smart contract platform to go to. so they wouldn't really be competing with it but with dozens of other better projects some of which are decentralized unlike ethereum that is centralized!

no because ethereum will kill itself long before anybody else even bothers wanting to do something about it. a flawed protocol with lots of exploits, a gigantic blockchain that is 10 times bigger than bitcoin's blockchain, lack of scalability and high fees, a huge premine and ICO, lack of immutability ever since they rolled back a lot of transactions, centralization,... and a lot more are just a small number of issues that ethereum has. with its unlimited supply and the dumping that is happening in the long run it is doomed to die anyways. all you have to do is wait

It's about big companies, it's only trust. We invest in new ICO in trust. To kill Ethereum or Bitcoin, they must provide same service and they already have trust.

There is nothing impossible. If such will happen, it will not be an easy task, because ethereum has it is, is already established. All the coins listed are just upcoming, so they have a long way to go and a lot to do before they can surpass ethereum.
