I don't think bitcoin's a Scam. Since bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. A simple example: would you say that the ruble or dollar Scam? There are many ways to earn bitcoins on the Internet.

Etherum also bitcoin two markets that give direction to this market and the development of the two crypto money, I personally do not want both to go away, and I do not think anyone would allow it. Although there are some technical troubles at the moment, they have the power to overcome it in the future.

Ether is more popular and it more required . It will be used as the main at the state level. Bitcoin has a numismatic value as like a gold reserve of the country.

Don't compare ethereum with bitcoin, these two coins have a far different, Bitcoin remains the king in crypto and ethereum is a coin that has a lot of confidence in crypto developers in the alternative bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the main road that continues to run long and ethereum is one way to get to the main road that is bitcoin.

BTC is too difficult to replace. Until there is no coin/token that has the security stronger than BTC, it will not be replaced. ETH had tried though. There is on token that is trying to set a better platform which EOS. I find potential to this one and so I hope there are more to good products for this tokens so we'll see where its heading soon. Its left behind, way behind but it could fly high too.

This itself might be the biggest selling point for anyone who wants to think long term. Here today, Bitcoin is already the favored cryptocurrency because it is the one who has achieved the most in that sense, of a CURRENCY. But all that aside, even if you assume any other token could be convincing as a currency, the security issue is the one no one can bet.

Just think, every day there is more hashpower, every day the 51% attack gets more expensive and difficult, and will eventually be recognized and people will return to the original block. No other coin can claim Bitcoin's massive security. ETH wanted to claim #2 spot, now Ripple, but these coins cannot compete even if they become #1 on CMC.

Why compare two incomparable currencies? Yes, of course bitcoin is the first currency and Ethereum is just an altcoin, but for investment I would choose Ethereum.
They are being compared on the basis of price in the market. Both were initially thought of as potential opponents in the market and ETH was expected to give Bitcoin a hard time in 2020. Besides, both of these coins have been ruling the market claiming the top market caps.

The profitability in Bitcoin was considered to be high than ETH but the rate at which ETH was advancing was viewed as faster than Bitcoin. This is why these two are often compared. And yes investment in both these coins can be profitable than in any other coin.

ETH will bring more profit if the market enters the uptrend period as the investment demand is likely to increase and ICO projects will encourage investors to buy ETH if the market recovers well. I believe that ETH is always the wisest choice and certainly brings the best profit
if the price comparison is indeed bitcoin is still the highest crypto money, and if we compare prices with Ethereum, of course there is nothing, but I agree with you, I also prefer to invest in Ethereum, and I also have a prediction that Ethereum prices will grow even higher.

Hi, something is going on my mind nowadays Ethereum (119.257.105.958) market approach to Bitcoin (197.808.898.769) approached. The Ethereum has a lot of confidence in the overall sense that it manages to maintain its position up and down despite the entire market shaking.

Will Ethereum be able to catch Bitcoin?

or will it be possible to return to the old Bitcoin when the Lighting Network is in use?

Based on what happens in the price of Ethereum nowadays, I don't think it has the capability to catch-up with Bitcoin. For Ethereum to do that, its developers must concentrate on solving the problem this second rank crypto by market cap is facing nowadays.

This is impossible because etherium is still unable to deal with a surge in transactions so that a lot of transactions are not resolved and failed and this is a logical problem that makes prices weaker and bitcoin seems to remain the leader of all coins for the time being until 2020 still
First of all there is no impossibility in the world. Everything is possible. About ETH vs Bitcoin, see that the pace at which ETH started growing back then was far more accelerated than that of Bitcoin’s. I agree that ETH is down now and it cannot be thought of as a potential competitor but if we extent out thoughts in the long run, it is not impossible at all. There is possibility ETH give a hard time to Bitcoin again because the product with the latest and advanced features is preferred over the traditional one.
if you compare these two coins, obviously they are very different,
bitcoin is the first Dapps, while Ethereum is the First Dapps Platform, and surely these two coins are the future

The number of bitcoins is limited, and Ethereum can be released indefinitely. When Bitcoin is mined to a certain amount, its price will continue to rise, but Ethereum cannot do this!

Ethereum still has the potential and has a good future, the volume also continues to run. Holders are still holding back and in hopes of fresh air to rise again next month.
Bitcoin is not inferior to its increasing community and has more power than other coins. This is able to keep bitcoin the highest and best.
Two coins that have their own functions and will go side by side.

Ether and Bitcoin are not competing, they do different things.

Bitcoin is a store of wealth.

Ether is to build apps and contracts.

They complement each other.    The only "competition" is the market cap value and  trading price.

It is unlikely that ETH rates will catch up with the BTC in 2018. On the market at this time, only XRP is able to surpass the market cap of ETH because recently the XRP rate increased very fast, with the time increasing up to over 70% in the price only within 1 day. So if you choose between BTC and ETH, you should choose ETH.

Actually Now BTC price is much ahead then ETH But ETH is a very promising coin and it's popularity increasing day by day. In most of ICO projects investors are investing money with ETH, that's why ETH future is very well I think. I also think one day ETH will cross BTC price. So let's see it will happen or not in the future.

BItcoin is number one and will stay so, the usage of the technology of bitcoin blockchain for mass adoption will come naturally.
ETH will be doing pretty well, as the strong team behind it, but it will not beat the master.
I believe BTC may go way way higher than the previous high within 1-3 years.

in the future, I think it's going to happen. because there are thousands of projects built on ETH contracts. there must be an explanation for this. very short; success. the only alternative to the entire market after bitcoin is confidence. in fact, according to some, ETH is the best.

ETH and BTC are something that cannot be separated, such as brother and sister maybe. both affect the price of all coins. So in my opinion these two coins are just as important.but choosing coins at a cheaper rate is probably the best investment path
I agree with you that even a few times, Ripple tried to win the position of ethereum, but in the end, ethereum was able to rise again. This is due to the trust of investors who have believed that ethereum and bitcoin are coins that have good potential for the future.
until now we can see that bitcoin and etherium are the most traded coins you can see in coinmarketcap therefore both of them still have a big chance in the market now and maybe until the future but etherium remains under bitcoin

Both have a lot of competition in the current market but bitcoin will always be the first and will benefit from that. Ethereum has more competition and a lot less of a loyal following. While people will likely move away from ethereum to a better alternative that's less likely to happen with bitcoin.

No. You should be worried with your ETH vs. XRP.

or will it be possible to return to the old Bitcoin when the Lighting Network is in use?
Lightning network has been used by some enterprise and its very quick. Let's see on how it will impact the whole bitcoin market if its finally and totally adopted by the community.

Just check this transaction:

This is definitely not going to happen forever because there will definitely be an improvement towards positive things. For me Bitcoin and Etherum should be able to work together to build a much larger crypto ecosystem in the world today. Etherum is the biggest platform in handling various projects ICO and Bitcoin is a coin that has gained trust and also a very high level of popularity. So if Bitcoin and Etherum can collaborate well then I am very confident that in the future we will face a very bright digital era.

You must know that it is not feasible to compare bitcoin and ethereum, even bitcoin cash that is often said by real bitcoin people is not able to compete with bitcoin. I can't imagine if all erc20 tokens move to another platform, maybe ethereum won't be able to maintain its position?

Sorry to burst the bubble for you but ETH won't reach Bitcoin price that easy.

it is so simple, it will never happen. not easy, not hard, not long, it will never happen.

and the reason is pretty simple. there is unlimited number of ETH available while bitcoin is capped at 21 million. when bitcoin is scarce ethereum is available like grains of sand.
not to mention that bitcoin is a world wide decentralized currency while ETH is one of many tokens used for ICOs on one out of at least 5 good ICO platforms including Waves and EOS.

This time the transaction cost of bitcoin was really cheap right now and i thought that it's not really needed the lightning network, it can be used by so many people. Remember the bankers have been stated that bitcoin is not enough scalable to be used by a lot of people around the world. It will but it's also impossible for me personally.

Sorry to burst the bubble for you but ETH won't reach Bitcoin price that easy. I will admit that at certain point they try but failed, they even have a term for it, The Flippening.

As for Bitcoin, LN is designed to solved its scalability issues (although fees today are very low and transactions are very quick) so if could really bring a lot of pump in the market is LN is rolled out or adopted by many bitcoin users, if you wanted to know more about it just go to the Bitcoin Technical Support board here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0.
