After quite a few years since Ethereum's inception, many new and exciting things have happened within the Blockchain space. The creation of Ethereum Classic presented us with an alternative Blockchain with its own unique features for the industry. On the other hand, Ethereum has been improving every step of the way where it'll implement a unique PoW algorithm called "ProgPoW", while it'll shift to "PoS" thereafter. The Ethereum Classic blockchain has managed to diffuse the "difficulty bomb" while adopting its own monetary policy where no more than 210 million coins will be mined.

If we were to compare both blockchains, we'll notice that they're different from one another. Ethereum will continue to have an unlimited supply, while it'll become a full-fledged PoS cryptocurrency for the world. On the other hand, Ethereum Classic will remain as a PoW cryptocurrency with a finite supply (just like Bitcoin). For some people, ETC is better than ETH because it follows the principles of immutability and it'll remain a PoW cryptocurrency for a very long time (obtaining greater security than ETH). For others, Ethereum is better because it'll be an energy-efficient cryptocurrency with PoS and Sharding, with better mainstream adoption for dApps. However, it's yet to be seen which Blockchain will be the most secure and reliable one over time as Ethereum's adoption of PoS will greatly reduce its security in the long term.

Nonetheless, which crypto is better? Ethereum Classic or Ethereum? Will both survive for the foreseeable future? Smiley
