If you buy both NEO and ETH your chances of success will increase. I think that both coins in the future can become much more expensive than now. And now is a good time to buy these coins, because the crypto market is preparing to jump. I hope that "Chinese Ethereum" will bring us no less profit than the original ETH last year.

in Ethereum or neo, that's the question than , Ethereum older brother neo is actually his clone , but the prospects for neo I think that's more because it prefer the Chinese

To judge which ETH or NEO will be the winner in the virtual money market is very difficult. But I personally like ETH more so I think ETH will win the fight. However, it is my pick, but between ETH and NEO which will fight, wait for the answer time.

I dont think neo can pass etherium price. I know neo is very popular and has high potential but its not the only thing that any altcoin needs to defeat etherium. It needs more.

Well for me its better to have ethereum as it is the one whos the second before bitcoin. And also ethereum has more wallet and have bigger potential to do like bitcoin. Ethereum is very dominant also interms of progressive.
And if we talk about trust for people ethereum has the rate of 90% total of users trust. NEO for now is just being start but eth will going on the top already.

I'll put my money in NEO to outperform ETH in 2018. I believe more ico evovled in NEO blockchain this year. Plus NEO has a more stable roadmap for 2018. After some hiccups in 2017, NEO price is eager to go higher this year.

I choose NEO, infact i hold no Eth but my portfolio is 25% NEO, why?

As a developer, NEO offers a much better platform, supports all .net languages and java which many developers have knowledge in, Eth on the other hand requires a learning curve for all developers, most developers I know are pretty strong in C#, VB.net or Java.

Also the NEO council makes this pretty safe in terms of Chinese regulation, they didn't suffer any issues relating to the Chinese ICO ban, this gives the Chinese people a lot of confidence in this coin.

Also as for growth potential NEO has a lot more room for growth, but Eth in my eyes will offer more stability and safety to investors, if you are happy with a safe 2-3x this year then Eth is a good bet, if you want to take a little more risk and aim for higher returns then go for NEO.

I have tons of respect for Eth, it's the #1 platform coin after all, but I'm more for a little risk and higher returns.

Both neo and ethereum has its own purpose in this technology. Yes I also believe ethereum can be the best and it's not comparing with neo they have their own goal to develop their project. Eth can be the best value by this year2018.

Eth is number 1 cause with all the speculation about crypto ban in China "china etherium" seems a bit risky but still good.

Investments are at 50% ETH, 30% NEO, 10% ZRX and 10% at BTC.  It's good on two projects.

I think after the Chinese New year we will see the growth of NEO. If we compare these coins in price policy, Ethereum will be the leader. I position Ethereum as a long-term investment with less risk. NEO is positioned as earnings on short-term investments.

Ethereum is a very good project. It is not comparable to any project. Neo may come at very good prices, but I think Ethereum is a completely different place.

too many icos are running on ethereum already. Once some of those projects will be fully functional you will see ethereum struggle with the high demand. That's where neo might take some of the pressure away

Currently I have a equal weighting on NEO and ETH. Either one still has great potential in it's own way.

Ethereum is a very good project in my opinion. Neo is still in development. There's got to be a lot more way for Neo to catch Ethereum. The price of Ethereum may go up to $ 2000.

Both are solid long-term coins with great teams. NEO has been many ICOs on its platform and also much lower
in market cap so should outperform Ethereum.

Hard question. Both Ethereum and NEO will probably gain lots of value in the upcoming months. They are affected by the crash and lost so much value. If i was to invest i would split my money and invest in them equally.

Ethereum is a safer investment, but will probably make less returns. NEO still has a lot of room to grow, but obviously if you are someone who panics when bad news comes out from china and you sell, then stick with Ethereum.

etherum vs neo is a comparison of old coins and new coins. ethereum already has a big name and a stable price in the market and now ethereum can be one of the most commonly used coins due to the many platforms that use ethereum. in contrast to the neo that is still classified as a new coin in cryptocurrency. so I think many people choose ethereum for investment.

The comparison of Ethereum and NEO does not make much sense to me. Ethereum is taking up a lot of space on the market. I think it's hard for him to compete with a project. They are making similar comments related to Tesoz.

Well based on  your question: Which of the two would come out tops this February? The answer is glaring and require no answer as we ll know it's Ethereum.

Now, if the question had been based on 12-24 months timeline then we can be begin to analyse and extrapolate.

Ethereum 1.0 Obviously has its challenges but to be fair it has done wonderfully well compared to every other "working" platform.

EOS, Cardano and the likes are yet to hit production so we can't really say what they are bringing to the table asides the stories they feed us on their whitepapers which I call whitelies.

Back to the topic at hand, the comparison between NEO and Ethereum may not be balanced as NEO has new features and boasts of faster transaction time. Ethereum is targeting to launch the ETH2.0 which woulc cater for all the lacks the ver 1.0 experienced.

NEO on the other hand has great potentials, aside having the sentimental backing of the Asian market as there, it also has been building some very attractive concpets on the platform like giving out Neo Gas and Ont Gas on the network.

They are sponsoring new DApps to align with them and also the are sponsoring alot of the upcoming ideas.

In 24 months NEO may compete closely with ethereum.

As regarding which of the two is cheaper Ethereum is. NOE and ONT is not cheap when it comes to running smart contracts.

I would argue that NEO is good, but it does not catch up with Ethereum, the Ethereum platform has developed very much and is followed by very large corporations, and NEO is good only for China, and China is not the whole world.

ETH has an established network, with a large userbase. Large numbers of ICOs are being launched on the Ethereum network.
NEO - its really similar, we can say its the ETH of China. One of the most important difference - at least in my opinion - is NEO using PoS. It has transaction speeds far greater than ETH. Also, it is starting to get ICOs on its network, although in smaller numbers. But their quality is truly up to a really high stansard.
I would say its hard to say which is better, but I think neo has more room to grow.

NEO is Ethereum, only created for a specific purpose: to provide reasonable savings.  Ethereum is simply a platform for the development of entrepreneurship, innovation and development.  The direction that this platform is developing depends on people creating their own start-ups on its open spaces.  While the NEO team chose a different direction - compatibility with regulatory requirements and practicality.  NEO has the same development prospects as Ethereum and it is difficult to say whether these coins can adequately compete with each other.

I may even bet on this, but I will wait to see the pool size first, as I'm not a big fan of mutual betting.

There is a big controversy between the two coins. Ethereum now has greater volume and value, but neo also grows quite rapidly.

That's interesting that they are not competitors! As for the prices, this is not about marketcap and not about the price per coin, right? Because I am sure it's hard to believe that NEO will beat eth in these ones. If we count the percentage change in the price, then, as eth sort of stabilized for now, I guess NEO can even score more throughout 2018, as eth is now is the temporary state between mineable and not mineable and eth will probably have this Constantinople fork by the end of 2018.

I am sure the price of Neo will increase more than the price of Ethereum but I prefer to stick with Ethereum because it's more stable in my opinion ( no big pump or big dump), I am afraid china will say something bad about Cryptocurrency and then it might affect the price of Neo so that's why I am not going to invest in this coin. And also I got the chance to invest in Antshare ICO but I didn't do it and now I think the price of Neo is too high haha

While Da Hongfei says they are not a competitor of Ethereum, people dubbed NEO as Ethereum of China. NEO still have a long way to go to at least get close to what Ethereum has accomplished but this is the advantage of NEO, they have plenty of room to grow, whatever Ethereum fails to achieve, NEO can try to work on it so NEO can avoid the same mistake or even do better.

I agree. In the comparison being asked. Ethereum and NEO somewhat basically has the same technology backing both coins. The only big and crucial difference is where they originate from. Ethereum is from the US and NEO is from China. Therefore, many think that NEO is actually a cheaper, if not, lower potential copy of Ethereum. And since most people have that stereotypical idea that originals are always better, many are more inclined into supporting Eth than NEO. Also, I would say that since the value and potential of Eth is greater that that of NEO, it would be a better move to support and hold on Eth because it has more potential to prosper than NEO.

Given the size of their market caps ETH- 110 billion vs NEO- 9 billion, I think that NEO is likely to outperform ETH going forward.

To answer your question: For February I'd say Neo, but for 2018 I'd say Eth.

I think Ethereum will. This will be the year where exchanges will have eth be the premier trading pair besides btc pairs
