Just get a light client or mobile app rather than waiting for the whole blockchain to sync. It's pointless with ETH. You'll never need the whole thing, right?

Fair enough, but how do I then "extract" the ethers that I have send to the address that is generated by the full client wallet?

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure...

That's my suspicion too.

Pasting my ether wallet screenshot, so it says "0 ETH" but also syncing at 4% (after 12 hours) so I am guessing that's the reason?

And yes,etherscan confirmed the transaction.

Thanks guys for all the tip.

Yeah, it's the most near answer since your client is downloading the blockchain and you just mentioned that your tx was confirmed already so you have to wait until it full sync so it will reflect to your client.

I once send Eth from my poloniex account to my myetherwallet and after that I see 0 balance so I tried to search enter the TX ID and it says that "transaction not found."

Quote
Transaction Not Found: This transaction cannot be found in the TX Pool of the node you are connected to. However, it could be in a different TX Pool, waiting to be mined. Please use the dropdown in the upper-right to select a different ETH node (e.g. ETH (Etherscan.io) or ETH (Infura.io) or ETH (MyEtherWallet)) and check again.

I tried to search the transaction in those given websites but unfortunately the " transaction not found" text is the only thing that appears.

So I'd waited for it for hours since I asked other people why does it take so long for my eth to arrived and they say that it might be because of the low fee but I didn't said about my transaction that can't be found. At the end, I received it.

So I suggest for you to wait a little longer. Just make it sure you input the right address. It might just be a case of low fee and it will confirm in due time or maybe go back to your wallet once the system had forgotten it like in Bitcoin.

I'm no expert on how does the Ethereum transactions works since I rarely use it so what I shared to you is just based on my experience and understanding. I hope it helps.

I'm far from being an expert when it comes to ethereum but If the wallet require downloading the blockchain, that could be the reason? since you can already see the transactions on the etherscan explorer.

Have just newly setup my ethereum wallet client and sent some Ethers to the my new etherbase account. However it's been 2 hours now and the client still shows no ether despite etherscan.io confirming the transaction.

Any advice?

Thanks
