I can't say a crypto is scamy because it got huge market then others .
ETH and dash are accepted by public so that's why these coins got market.

people will trade these coins because these coins are worthy then others .
many coins come die all do not get mass acceptance.

if bit coin also not traded then it'll be also a scamy coin .

If the coin has some good use and is accepted as a currency which can buy things, it is not a fake coins.

Ethereum can be used to make smart contracts.

The verbage in the OP is "scammy"

Both Dash and Etherium behavior is scammy at best

Is Mcdonalds scamming people? Or is their behavior scammy?

I can eat whatever mcD's is selling, (so they are not a scam) but they do act scammy by trying to trick people into thinking that it is actual food.

Dash's biggest claim to fame is it's anonymous nature, (which many view as scammy since it's not anonymous, ie:too many attack vectors)

Etherium is acting scammy by hyping their product b4 they can prove that it will actually work.

How exactly is DASH a scam??? I see a lot of productive uses for DASH that fill in voids left by bitcoin. Everybody wants to troll and talk shit...how about some well thought out discussions instead??? I always see people trashing DASH but never backing it up with any evidence. I am very interested in hearing Peter Todd's breakdown of DASH as well. There are a lot of smart people in the crypto space so lets hear some good analysis

Agreed; I asked how DASH is a scam because I keep seeing that claim come up and didn't mean you were implying that.

I have seen the Peter Todd twitter comment which is why I said I would like to hear his breakdown on DASH, I want to know the specifics.

I ask myself all the time : why are people attacking threads like these ?

is it insecurity ?
fear ?
hate ?

Most likely a bit of all

FTFY

I'm not sure if Ethereum is a scam (doubt it, seems like it is promising too much though), but I do know a coin with an "accidental" instamine (with a convenient  emissions cut soon after) is a sign of a scam. I also know cramming 11 algos together is a good way to design an insecure coin (if only someone's "chief scientist" could figure this out). I also know (and Evan agrees after months of anyone who knows anything saying so) that protocol level anonymity is way better than depending on nodes to do it. I also know that vapor ware without peer review is a sure sign of a scam or a dev who is in way over his head--guess we'll have to wait six to nine months to see which is true for dash's evolution.

When you figure out the poorly constructed pontoon is sinking, Qwizzie, there's a perfectly constructed aircraft carrier in swimming distance. But I get the feeling that Evan will say, "We're going to find the lost treasure of Atlantis!" and all those on the SS Dashtard will die thinking they can breath under water.

This is just markets in action, no coordinated pumps and dumps required.   Eth and dash are definitely not the worst coins out there.  Some are much MUCH worse.

Of course market manipulation in crypto is only getting more advanced.  That doesn't mean there isn't something to Ethereum and Dash.  By the way, I'm not sure how you can be so sure of your research when you repeatedly refer to it as "Etherium."  Anyway, everything you've said could be applied to Bitcoin, especially several years ago.

There are several coins with large market caps that have absolutely no redeeming value or reason for existence.  I don't really understand why you are focusing on the two alts that, while far from shameless, might be the least useless of the bunch.

Why don't you just buy these coins and sell as well at the right time after all I can sense you watch the market all the time.
you could use that time as well to profit thru their pump and dump.

Are we witnessing smarter pump groups playing in these markets?

A normal pump in dump group does just that, pump up, extract value, leave bag holders, laugh.

But my question is, are we witnessing a different form of pump, the long slow pump n dump?

Or

Regardless of the scammy nature of these projects, have they become self sustaining? (Ie. Dash is for suckers, but there just really are that many suckers and the suckers have created a liquid market, therefore it doesn't matter if Dash is scammy)

I ask myself all the time, why do people eat fake food that is sold as fast food? My friends will agree that mcdonalds is shit immitation food, then go get a fucking big mac. Throw logic out the window here.

Yeah mcdonalds would go out of business if people stopped eating there, but they won't. Why not? Cause there is a large market for fake food.
