The motherboard has only 5 pcie slots, so my guess is the maximum it can reach is 5 cards

They could add a pci-e 3:1 splitter for extra cards. You rarely hear about those but they do work nice as long as the mobo can handle all the power it needs to pump out

What will be the month income for this rig? ROI? How many electricity will it consume with price 0,06$ kwh?

Thanks

Here you go:

http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/ethereum-mining-calculator/?h=168.00&p=1000&pc=0.06&pf=0.00&d=476148951776849&r=5.00000000&er=0.07666371&btcer=2309.00020000&hc=0.00

Calculate 168 MH/s @ 1000W of power to get an idea what you would be making ATM, not counting miner and pool fees of 2-4% and downtime. What the price of Ethereum or more important the mining difficulty will be next week or next month, is anybody's guess.

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to order the first equipment for my test-rig. What do you guys think of this setup:

The costs of the risers, SSD, Motherboard, CPU, DDR and Power Switch are $149.94.
I'm not sure about my PSU yet, I'd probably need a 1000W PSU for a 6GPU rig.
The GPU's are incoming, but the price is not set jet. Probably around USD 200/GPU.

Please let me know if I forgot anything, any feedback is highly appreciated!

Best regards,

The motherboard has only 5 pcie slots, so my guess is the maximum it can reach is 5 cards, I would invest a little bit in a better motherboard that supports more cards and more ram, you're going to pay like a 100$ more but it will save you more in the long run. The GPUs are good, although if you're in the us you can probably find better deals than this, for the PSU you'll have to either get 2 golden/bronze evga 750w (these are quite cheap, the bronze is only 60$ or so on Amazon) or get a 1000-1200w gold/platinum, evga is reliable and pretty cheap.
