I use to mine with Ethermine and stopped due to poor prices and skimming. Their Ad words and feeds destroys the page main contents.

Ive switched to Nanopool..better roi and their web interface is a lot easier to read PLUS, it has an indicator which tells you when you will be paid next.

my 2 cents.

Be careful with Nanopool.  They were decent until January 6th 2018 when that artificially doubled the difficulty of mining ethereum and siacoin.  Nanopool is getting greedy.

I don't like either one frankly.  They just seem to always underperform.

Currently Nanopool's calculator is saying I should be making $4.49 per day.  WhatToMine says I should be making $4.87 for the same hash rate.  This is pretty consistent from what I've seen.

I realize calculators aren't perfect but almost 10% difference is too much.  Other pools and coins are much closer usually.

Hey guys..

I'm new to Mining so that might be a noob question, but whats better ?
Ethermine or Nanopool, and why.

Thanks.

I use Ethermine because it has a higher pool hashrate. Theoretically you would want to mine part of every block, and you come close to achieving that by mining on a pool with a higher pool hashrate because they earn more blocks (despite the blocks being distributed across more people).

But nanopool is also good alternative.
