I have applied for a token registration via  bsscan.com website, providing all the necessary data.
What I didn't notice is that there is another contract on Etherscan that I published a long time ago and abandoned due to an error in a source-code.
Soon after applying for a token registration, I got an email from Etherscan telling me to confirm all the data.

After 5 business days of waiting, I have approved the final message

What happened is that they registered my old contract as the new one I was trying to register. You can see for yourself:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x4180ce5a616e75512fd9df0bd896ac955c64a246

The one that I wanted to register is this one:
https://bscscan.com/address/0x4180ce5a616e75512fd9df0bd896ac955c64a246

1. How is this even possible? Does it mean that we are not the owners of our contracts, the same way we aren't the owners of our money on exchanges if there is no private-key provided?
2. What in a world am I supposed to do now to fix it ?
