Now there is a new competitor for cryptokitties and ethertanks. This is an economic simulator CryptoCelebrities. The project offers to buy celebrities for the crypto currency Ethereum and is able to press the success of the game CryptoKitties. The system was launched on January 25. The goods are cards with photos of entrepreneurs, actors, politicians and musicians. 

The load on the ethereum network and without this game is very high in recent months. If the load on the network continues to grow, then people will no longer use ethereum as a payment tool.

Is this another Dapp that is clogging the network! I notice that my transaction on ethereum network is been delayed recently. I thought we had left all this useless Dapp game behind until ethereum scale and everyone can create as many Dapp as they want. There is serious economic concern that affect the ethereum platform

don't know, the lowest price I could find for that tank was 0.0803 ETH = $77, so risen fast in couple of days, current price is $255

I can't understand it either. At least one benefit is that more mainstream people are attracted, but I hope for more valuable apps on ethereum in the future.

Wow, the world gonna become crazy. But I am waiting for crypto-zombies only!!!   if to be sirious - such projects look like completly new look of ponzi scheme with interactive elements.

Personally, I do not buy a tank for a lot of money, but I think that there will be many players who will not be stopped by a high price. This is a novelty. And it always attracts. Kittens are popular until now. So the tanks are not the end of the epic games based on ethereum.

OMG. World is crazy nowadays. Those kitties created so much discomfort to real world technology applications.

I didn't believe that anyone would buy virtual cats for big money. I thought it was nonsense. But my expectations were not justified. Now I think everything is possible

entry level tank is already expensive, more than 200 dollars, wondering if this will hurt it's success and whether it will explode like Cryptokities

Interesting, as long its not make eth transaction have 20k pending in one day it would be awesome. We now realize there lot thing to do with dapps. i hope there will be new invention like this so cryptocurrency become mainstream and every one can use it in daily bassis

Problem with Ethermon is that it is a complete rip-off of the cryptokitties and pokemon concepts. No originality and the poorly designed UI made it look like a complete a game only looking to cash out player's money.

EtherTanks on the other hand brings something new to the market. I'm particulary interested in the TANK BATTLE feature. Its a game with potential to escalate into things like:

• tank upgrades and customization (already in contract code)
• guild wars and massive tank battles
• etc.

If the battle feature will be released on january and it seems to a very good dapps. because you can use your own tank to battle in the arena. i believe dapps will give the product directly into the investors without doin any ico to raised the funds. Just keep watching on this thread. This makes me interested about ethertanks.

1) Go to MEW's contracts section: https://www.myetherwallet.com/#contracts   
2) Copy EtherTank's contract address and ABI info from EtherScan at https://etherscan.io/address/0x336db6c1ead9cc4d5b0a33ac03c057e20640126a#code   
3) You can now directly call the buy and sell functions through MEW   
 
**Buy someone's tank:**   
1) Select "bid" and enter the Tank ID number the seller listed   
2) Click "WRITE"   
2) Enter the amount of ETH you are buying the tank for (i.e. 0.65 ETH)   
    *if you enter more ETH than needed, the extra will be credited to you on EtherTanks, which you can cash out   
3) Enter 500000 for the gas limit   
4) Click generate transaction

What about the ethermon game (https://www.etheremon.com) and the etherfish I think it's called?  I think it's no surprise that even more of these types of games popped up once kitties got popular.  Question is will they have the same success or the endless strings of clones that is sure to follow.

Whynot? Judging from the description of the game Ethertanks, you can earn money here. This is the difference between this game and World of Tanks, where all just spend time and money

Ethereum network is better now. Transactions still confirm even if gas price is still at 1 GWEI ($0.03). That is, the network is now running BOTH cryptokitties and ethertanks. Good job Ethereum. I speculate there may be an ETH price pump right ahead of us.

EtherTanks I remember a very popular Nintendo game back in the 90s with tanks. It seems when we get money involved now through blockchain, every old style game becomes popular again. I am optimistic about EtherTanks.

They are tanks, sent to battle by many users, and you can love them even more than cats. The battle feature is scheduled to be released on Jan 14. Before that, the marketplace will also be released on Jan 7. I guess this is like an ICO period where you get to buy things cheap. Even better than an ICO actually because they have a working product already.

Is this not stupis to buy a crypto tank without any usage of it? When it goes to the kitties - they are pets, loved by many users, but what about tanks?
Can anyone love them? You cannot even play a game with one.

I bought 1 LT-1 tank (seemingly the most profitable atm) and i'm currently at 100/2350 tanks before ROI.
Considering buying 10 more if this goes well. Lol.

I have 3 tanks and i already cashed out my initial investment.

I'm looking forward to the tank battles, hopefully they'll be pretty fun and I hope they'll make you lose your tank forever if you die in a tank battle, that would make things exciting!

The newest blockchain game based on Ethereum just launched. Just like cryptokitties, it seems to be well received and some very very early adopters are already rich.
Some say its a ponzi but they fail to realize that the price of tanks scales. Interesting new thing is the BATTLE feature.

Looks like a potential good investment if you get in as early as now.
