In your exodus multi-wallet only 5 digital currencies can be stored: Bitcoin, Ether, Dogecoin, Litecoin and Dash.

If you want to store ethereum based tokens such as: Iconomi, Augur, Golem, etc then you need to install an ethereum wallet such as Mist.
But, you can also use the ethereum web wallet below to store ethereum based tokens, while avoiding downloading and synchronization delays with the ethereum blockchain:

https://www.myetherwallet.com/

Now, to buy ethereum based tokens such as: Iconomi, Augur, Golem, etc you need to register in an exchange such as Poloniex and exchange them for Bitcoin. See below:

Dear Bikerleszno,

Assuming you already have Bitcoin (BTC) and that you already installed the great Exodus multi-wallet; then just go the exchange button (two arrows in opposite directions) in your Exodus wallet (left) and convert your desired BTC into Ethereum (ETH) in few seconds, your wallet will do it automatically for you and will store your ETH within your wallet itself.

It is just as simple as converting USD to EUR for example in a normal FIAT currency exchange. The difference here is that you are in a digital domain in which let us say USD is like BTC and EUR is like ETH.
Please keep in mind that the Exodus multi-wallet does not require hours of synchronization, just few seconds, if any really.

Ok so maybe i will ask other way.
If you want to buy tokens how do you that and from where to where and how?

You can do that at exchanges like Poloniex, or Bittrex, or Kraken, or...

The way I got my ether was shapeshift
https://shapeshift.io/#/coins
I transfered BTC from my Multibit wallet to Shapeshift and returned them to my ether wallet.
For sure I did this, after installing and synchronising my ether wallet.

Dear Bikerleszno,

If you just need to store and trade with some amount of ether in an easy to use, fast, practical, safe and elegant way, then, just install (in few seconds) the great Exodus multi-wallet below for windows 64 bit, mac and linux:

https://www.exodus.io/releases/

As a bonus, you get to store Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash and Dogecoin in the same place as well, since this is a multi-digital currency wallet. After testing and using it myself for some years (windows and Linux), I do highly recommend it. Further, you have the Shapeshift option built-in, which means you have a small digital currency exchange just for you inside your Exodus multi-wallet. Thus, you could convert any of these five currencies into another one of those five currencies.

Moreover, their customer service is quite efficient, kind and collaborative. But, please remember to update the wallet version every two weeks at their website.
You will have a nice Exodus experience from the FIAT currency world to the digital currency world.

If you don't want to store your coins at an exchange, you'll need the wallet, which you can download here:
https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases

Or use an online-wallet (to create a paper wallet):
https://www.myetherwallet.com/
...with a slight chance, that this service will be offline someday (and your coins are gone).

Or take a look at some hardware wallets. Some of them can handle ether.

If your decision will be the wallet for your computer:

!!!
Install and synchronize the wallet first!
!!!
Synchronisation can take a couple of days!
!!!

But i want to buy tokens so i need to have wallet right ?
You can use spv wallets like jaxx or myetherwallet, these don't require to download blockchain and secure enough. Or you can just keep tokens on exchange address, people usually buy it to sell later so it would be more wise to keep ether on exchange and have ability to sell fast when something going wrong.

Just keep using exchange address or webwallet, as all users do. When you install full node you put etherium network under a risk of fork due to network delay between nodes 14-second blocks can't handle. That's why you will never have any working official wallet. Wallet crash is not a bug, it's a feature
