looks like things are proceeding, stuck in a long period of difficulty adjustment now the massive hashrate from ASICs has gone

Yep, calculated hash rate is down by half to 600 MH/s odd from 1500 MH/s with ASICs. Maybe we get to real rate in a day or two.

If that is going to be true that is some good news here because I already do that amount like 16 dollars a day with 2 mining computers at 170 mhs in ethhash but the power consumption is low under Monero so that could be a double win if that happens to become true.

The prices are low, that's why the difficulty is also lower now.

Looks like its its going to be a while before the first forked block is found as the difficulty is extremely high and only GPUs around to find it!!

It´s hard to say now, but ETN diff is getting lower now so it should have some effect on XMR and I think that even on ETH mining, as my mining results are getting little bit better today. Otherwise, we will see in few hours probably Smiley

it is actually really useless to make any estimates about it, cause you can not influence on it.. so yes, I agree, if some hashrate will be redirected to Electroneum, and the profits on monero will be slightly better..  I hope it will happen.

Even so, the coins on CN-Heavy are even more profitable than CN7.
But the difficulty will surely drop on monero, one of the reasons is also Nicehash, which just implemented CN-Heavy, a lot of buyers will be switching there from CN7.

When ETN forks, it will draw some GPU’s off Monero.

I am guessing ETN will draw 100MH/s off Monero’, currently at 400MH/s odd. So a 10k/s rig will earn $16 instead do $13 now Monero. Maybe 20-30% increase in profitability.

Anyone else made any estimates?
