try p2pool
you can run your own node or use some public for example elizium.name

Thanks.  I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for your answers.

BTC Guild is one of my targets.  BitParking and Bitminter are the other two.  So, it would seem that I would be comparing apples to lemons.  For a while at least.

I suppose it doesn't matter too much.  My mini rig is not likely to produce much after the difficulty increases.  I'll let them all run and treat it as an experiment.

Thanks again.

It depends on the size of the pools you're testing.  For a pool like BTC Guild, 2-4 weeks would be adequate.  We haven't had a 2016 block period end more than +/- 10% in months.

However, smaller pools will require MUCH more time.  Your results are pretty much guaranteed to vary greatly even on the same pool from month to month.

Think for yourself
One period of difficulty, AKA 2016 blocks of the same difficulty.  Or longer.

I’m completely new to mining so I need to evaluate some of the different mining pools.  I have selected three pools and intend to point equal hashing to each of them.

My question is:  How long should I run the test for?  One week, two, more?
