I've been watching the news for a while now and this topic piqued my interest. Ever heard of EQ (Emotional Quality )? This is the firt time I've heard of it, it is like the IQ, though the difference is, from the example of the interviewer, IQ makes you get the job, EQ makes you promoted, interesting isn't it?

Your username looks very much like someone else's in this forum

Everyone already answered what you asked, and something else to differentiate people

I hope nobody creates a thread saying that Africans have more or less EQ

you need the WE (working ethnics) somewhere to fit in there, if IQ makes you get the job and EQ makes you get the promotion, WE will make you keep the job.

I believe Dan Golman was the first to write of emotional intelligence. He book changed my view on psychology.

I believe also, that his works have changed neurological and psychiatric studies too.

It's emotional intelligence. It seem to be a complex term, ranging from the ability to recognize emotions in yourself and others and empathize with other people. Many are saying that it is far more important the IQ in predicting success in life.

I think EQ stands for Emotional Quotient. Yes, have heard of it. There're many books written about it.

Here are some sources:
