The drug war has been exposed as counter-productive and a huge waste of money.

The public are coming round to this, as are the UN. It is only a matter of time before it is ended and a focus on treatment takes its place.

Just think of all the money for false arrests these people could be earning if only they knew...

... that American law doesn't allow anybody to be convicted without a person getting on the stand, expressing a real injury, and proving that the defendant was the one who did the injury to him/her. Of course, if the defendant doesn't require the injured person to get on the stand, it's his own fault he is convicted.

When he is found innocent of harming anyone, he can sue for false arrest in amounts at least as much as he would have to pay if convicted, plus court costs and hardship expenses, of course.

this is a very big number. Too bad that the drugs so much common in this country. It must somehow stop. And clarify the risk of people use this drug
I do not believe that those who use drugs can cure. They are very many their friends accustomed to the drugs. I would have them all exported to a desert island.

Thats interesting. In the Philippines war on drugs, since the new president started, almost 800,000 already surrendered. Death are also rising due to police operations and vigilante killings.

When the Philippine President Duterte announced the drug user, peddler to surrender they heed the call. No arrest were implemented but a mere sworn statement by them revealing their source, who are involved etc are given to Police. As the new admin started, more killings on streets.Drug lords eliminating their dealers, peddlers afraid to be squeal to police. Rogue policemen are doing the same to hide their crimes. After more than 100 days of campaigns, crime rates have gone down at 49% . Campaign is still on going and still there are drug peddlers being neutralized.

Personally I have never been interested in the Philippines. Since they allowed yellow rice on their soil (the great gmo Trojan horse) I have the utmost comptent for those people. I don't really care of them.

However it's true that from an interrogatory perspective I am very curious to know about next stage in the evolution of this campaign, not at all surprised, understanding the lack of aspirations of this country.

I find interesting the ideas that you bring in this freeforall. From a black market theory, what we watch is the great extermination. However I firmly believe that once the first waves of less adapted players are gone, the survivors will become extra fit to thrive in the new normal.

Wait and see... as you said only 100 days.

However comparing one of the most advance in all aspect country with a subpar3rdworldshithole (No offenses) is meaningless. So please, back to the topic...

Every 25 seconds in the United States, someone is arrested for the simple act of possessing drugs for their personal use, just as Neal and Nicole were. Around the country, police make more arrests for drug possession than for any other crime. More than one of every nine arrests by state law enforcement is for drug possession, amounting to more than 1.25 million arrests each year. And despite officials’ claims that drug laws are meant to curb drug sales, four times as many people are arrested for possessing drugs as are arrested for selling them...

I think there is nothing less to say about this country... ahh yes maybe:

Quote
As a result of these arrests, on any given day at least 137,000 men and women are behind bars in the United States for drug possession, some 48,000 of them in state prisons and 89,000 in jails, most of the latter in pretrial detention.
