I'd try the card in another rig. This will allow you to determine if you have a hardware or software problem.

Have you tried underclocking the GPU to see if there's a problem with it?

its been a while since I've mined on windows but I think this is probably related to the opencl driver which gets installed as part of the "amd development kit" but they don't get uninstalled when you do a regular driver uninstall. so you need that amd driver cleanup tool to delete it. Then you can download amd development 2.6 separately which is the fastest if I remember right

Every time I uninstall drivers I uninstall APP as well.
Maybe drop back to 12.8 drivers. All my rigs,5 of em, run great on the older drivers  Wink

I'll try that now, I can always try 11.1 XD First driver I was ever on my desktop with.

Sorry for not being clear, I am using a XFX Double D Radeon HD 6950 and I just got in the mail an HSI reference 6950 this isn't installed yet.  I have tried to completely uninstall drivers before, but not with that tool. I'll try when I have access to my desktop again. One more thing to add, I opened GPUz a while ago and it said there was a "OpenCL bug". Thanks for your help guys! Cheesy

Sadly this didn't work, I did the entire process and installed 12.10 and then redid it for 13.1 and the same result, and GPUz is still saying "OpenCl Bug"

This is what i'd try..

1) uninstall CCC
2) run http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion to completely remove the residuals
3) run chastity's crap cleaner http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?8981-ATI-Crap-Cleaner&s=1a5f8be396320ee3b9b036e485634b51
4) reboot
5) re-install CCC i've had the least problems with the 12.10 driver, though no problems with 13 on this machine

If you don't have opencl it does not crash. It will just tell you no opencl devices.
Also nvidia cards support opencl (ye well not the too old ones of course)

As to how to fix your problem, sorry, i have no idea.

I'm assuming you use Nvidia, because the only reason every GPU miner would crash is if your GPU didn't support OpenCL.
In that case, use your CPU to mine, or replace your graphics card with something from ATI.

Ok I have an interesting problem,  every GPU miner program I use crashes at startup.  Including, CGminer, poclbm, rpc-miner, and GUI miner*. Windows will say to every one of them [program name] has stopped working on some version of CCC but on others every program show a huge amount of hardware errors and no accepted shares. I have tried at least 10 different versions of CCC uninstalling completely every time.  I have AMD APP 2.8 installed and I saw it was designed for CCC 12.10 so currently I have 12.10 installed.  I am sorry if this problem has already been answered, but I couldn't find it, as I have been looking for an answer for two weeks now.

Thanks in advance!
