I also don't take much personal when the medias talk about bitcoin, most of the time they are not well informed and not well up to date with the recent news about bitcoin. The media's effect is much worse than we can thing because they spread the news that bitcoin is mostly being used by hackers and mostly in the attacks that happens like Ransomware and people are afraid to invest in a such coin like bitcoin.

I don't know the whole point about buying more Bitcoin in order to fight Media, but I think Bitcoin itself is doing a good fight against media. How you might ask? When you look at Bitcoin you will see that the price of it is more expensive compared to Fiat Currency. The price of it actually makes the assumptions of the media false as it continue to rise occasionally.

I was search for new news on Bitcoin this morning so I typed "Bitcoin" into my Yahoo News search browser. And the top stories are from mainstream media outlets claiming "yes, Bitcoin is a bubble!"

They've been putting down Bitcoin for YEARS...and now when it has success they claim it's due to irrational exuberance. F*ck these guys!

I have a challenge for each of you...every time someone in the media (print, tv, radio, etc.) claims Bitcoin is in a bubble you buy a bit more Bitcoin.

Sound good? You buy some, I'll buy some, we all buy some. That would be so great...we could call it the bubble bounce!

Here's the search I did: https://news.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0SO8ynLLFdZIjcAgkNXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEybzlmODM2BGNvbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMyBHZ0aWQDQjQxMjZfMQRzZWMDc2M-?p=bitcoin&fr=crmas&fr2=cosmos

Corporate media has demonstrated time after time that when they report bullish news on bitcoin, bitcoin is about to reach a peak and it's about to correct.

When corporate media claims bitcoin is doomed and it's about to crash, it climbs back up to newer highs.

Chris Dunn has some good technical analysis on this and it seems to always behave like this.

Cheesy Cheesy
There is an increase buzz regarding bitcoin as a bubble right from 2014 fall but bitcoin has successfully proved such masses wrong with continuous rise in price.
So we don't need to do anything like this. Community is intelligent enough to neutralize this news on its own.

Slava Ukraini!
But if we look at bitcoin from neutral point, it's really looks like bubble. So, not only negative opinion about bitcoins, but also lack of knowledge leads to such articles.
And I can say they are partial right. Remember how bitcoin price rised when Chinese exchanges made fake trading volume. Is that not bubble?
And I would rather buy bitcoin when price dump, not when it's growing.

All I know is that I know nothing.
Yeah, Yahoo News.  Pretty mainstream and respected news source.

From Google:  https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bitcoin&oq=bitcoin&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l3j0j69i65.1545j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#q=bitcoin&tbm=nws.

Almost all of the articles which you get when you get onto Google's news section (searching Bitcoin), you'll find are positive or neutral.

It's hilarious how some of you just want to feel like outsiders so much that you cherry pick articles to try and make it look like you're under attack by the mainstream media.  I've been quite surprised by how reasonably they've covered it this hype cycle.

it is all about the timing of these articles.
when you search for articles while price is rising and everything is calm of course you find all positive news everywhere.
but as soon as there is a small dip they all change their positions. and besides most of the news sites that are found on google search are shitty click baits such as cryptocoinnews or other silly names like that which are only posting for traffic and more earning.

Most of the news that are saying that are just paid by the big people because they want to make a hype that bitcoin is just a bubble and provoke a panic selling situation which most of the people will experience a huge loss in their investment but as long as there are news like that then it is a positive for me because there is something that makes weak hands shakes and just sell their bitcoins while i am just keep buying bitcoins for long term and hoping to make a million bucks.

Right now Bitcoin is still gaining popularity and momentum, so I am getting and saving up Bitcoin now. Right now Bitcoin is still not that popular around in my area, probably barely 1 in every 10 people actually uses Bitcoin.

I'm in! Lets buy all the Bitcoins! Grin (Maybe just twice a month is good enough Smiley)

Sometimes they are right, you gotta admit.

IF bitcoin went up to $5000 in a day, i would call it a bubble too. And the media will definitely take advantage of the situation and call it a bubble, there is no doubt. It would be a bad idea for you to buy in if bitcoin is in a true bubble, and if you buy more when they call it a bubble, well... They're just going to keep calling it a bubble...

Though a lot of the times, i don't think that the news sites understand how volatile bitcoin is naturally, because of lack of regulations which is exactly what makes it so special in the first place. There is nobody rescuing the markets if it crashes, nor anyone stopping a rise from happening. Right now, i do not believe we are in a bubble but a lot of news outlets are calling bitcoin out on the high price. I think it is justified, with major countries legalizing bitcoin, retail chains accepting bitcoin, etc. But all they see is that bitcoin went up 600% in less than 1 year. Bubble confirmed! That's what i hate about them. All they want is traffic, something that gets as many people reading as possible.

Bitcoin OG

I'm down. I am already putting in like 50% of my income into Bitcoin, altcoins, ICOs and other related projects. When media sounds bearish on Bitcoin I will increase my buys!

I think it is not worth every time to buy bitcoins after such news. Because these news are written daily and you will soon run out of money to buy bitcoins Grin Grin
I am pretty sure that the people within the News stations just like to post FUD about Bitcoin so the price of Bitcoin will  drop down to a price that will make people panic even more so they will lose their money so that the people within the News stations could buy in.

I see that news everyday and I just laugh at them because it has no meaning. Every news channel and broadcasting company posts news about a crypto currency being a bubble. I agree that some new coins will be a bubble and maybe artificially pumped but BTC?? Seriously??
We just have to ignore them, thats all.

People are sheep by nature and the media knows how to drum a good narrative into the public minds. Way to often they run a horrible story and segway into a story about ransomware and bitcoin. Heres a pedophile, theres a bitcoin, make up your mind on what bitcoins all about! Pretty much how they work the edges.

Think bitcoin will do well with interest rates moving up and people panicking about real estate prices bubbling. Media can do what is wishes for all I care.

Where is my ring of blades...
the media and also most random accounts like the one above me call bitcoin a lot of things at different times but they always call it those things after it is too late.
for example when price went up to above $2000 everyone was talking about how bitcoin will be worth 5k by some time they though is best and a lot of similar news.
when price fell (the correction after the ATH) everyone again started talking about how bitcoin is a bubble and will fall to $1500.

both of these are bullshits. you always have to do your own research and buy or sell if you think is right. never pay attention to what others are saying. and try your best to take the least effect from them.

The current state of Bitcoin is definitely a bubble - or perhaps the bubble just burst. From a financial standpoint, the worst time to buy anything ever is at the peak of a bubble like we are in now. hahaha. To each their own, I suppose!

i don't care what the news says. i don't even care what random people who only come online after price has gone up and needs a correction say.

i buy bitcoin every time i have some money lying around that i don't need and i feel comfortable investing that amount in bitcoin.
i also buy bitcoin every time price drops because some manipulators decided to initialize a panic sell. that is me investing during a discount day.
