I agree with you that cryptocurrencies trading is getting an hard hit. However, now is very different 2016. Most of people have more confidence in Bitcoin. we should regularly follow news to buy or sell at the right time.
Trading that too with digital currencies is not an easy task. You need a lot of research and experience in order to play well in this field. Obviously there is remarkable improvement in bitcoin in all aspects; bitcoin followers have been increased, the prices are already touching the sky and still are hoped to rise further. In short we can conclude by saying that 2017 is far better than 2016.

Yes i was started trading bitcoin and altcoins back in 2016 when the price of bitcoin is still too low at 600$ there a few people only trading bitcoins in that time but now there are so many people already discover bitcoin and they are so interisted in bitcoin

Hmm, theres a time for everything. Usually crypto pumps atleast 1x a year. Theres a time of pump for each coin. This year most of coins pumped in March, some in April and May. I believe this $XLM or $STR pump is the start of altcoin party. Next to Stellar is the XRP pump.

Cryptos are not tradable anymore... Not enough volume, bull vs bear....Bots....

What do you think about the recent crypto trend ? What are your strategies ?

For my part, except mining, cryptocurrencies trading is getting an hard hit.

forget about trading, it's complicated and hard to keep up on the crypto world (high stress situations). By mining you're dong a quite solid job and it's a much better alternative (in my opion) than gambling your hard earned or mined coins. We're obviously on the trading section here, but it's important to remind people that they can't predict the market, they might do it once or twice but in the long-term it's likely that you'll come out short, unless you have some expererience or have been doing this for quite some years. The best traders are the one's who've been around for years and who know how to control their emotions and their bankroll, it's just like a profession, you have to learn it the hard way, but when you do - you're all gold

Correct. It is moving like crazy and I know those are bots.
There is not much logic now and self thinking on when to trade back.
Prices just fall wirhout a valid reason. Just FUD and fake news can make anything crumble. Happened before when almost all alts are hit with 50 percent cut.
So we must think wiser choosing those alts which have a big potentials to gain back and make a high jumped, alts like ETH xmr neo are some of those coins which will gather attentions and potentially will grow back after some time, we just have to open our eyes while opportunities are showing up, grab and earned.

When was the time when cryptocurrencies trading wasn't an hard hit? It has always been hard, and it will always been hard, but that doesn't mean that they are not tradable. The markets are growing everyday, getting higher percentages of investments on different coins beside bitcoin, and that is all because there is potential in this. And as long as Bitcoin keeps the run going, the alternative currencies will keep running with it as well, and this will go very far from now, and we better know it and accept it.

Probably because a lot of people are now focusing mainly on bitcoin. I personally have ceased for the meantime trading alts and am just waiting for the next dump to buy more btcs. Though i don't think crypto trading will always stay like this. As with anything in cryptocurrencies, it's volatile.

Its possible that traders shifted to bitcoin after the booming altcoin around May or June of this year. However, the altcoin market was not sustainable, that's why most of them are moving back to bitcoin. But for me, altcoin is still profitable if you know what you are buying because most altcoin are not really for long term hold. So if you can't exit on the right time, you are going to be trapped and this what's frustrated most of the current traders.

Honestly the only thing that comes to my mind that trading is now hard. because like you say many traders are now using a bot for them to make a profits well its lessen the peoples skills amd soon if the bots will continue the market will no longer the same as full of bots.

I'm not sure if bot has something to do with them making profits. I guess we still needed that human intervention, to make the correct decision based on our experienced or even our guts. But is just there to makes life easier sometimes, but if you are really for the big profits, you should used your intelligence and make the correct decision.

I went a lot emotionnals.

Ill clarify my point a bit.

15k users at polo vs 55k we used to had.

More bots, less volume, less differents coins pump.

At the moment I would understand that the best move is to hold btc..

Cryptos wont ever be destroyed and even if governments tried to, they woulndt be able to.

Can't to get epic tradings days like we used to had a few months ago.

If you say that the crypto world will be destroyed then I am very unsure. the world of crypto will continue to grow rapidly. see that the development of crypto is always increasing all the time. every day new altcoins emerge and this doubles that cryptocurrencies will be more varied. the easiest strategy is to continue introducing cryptocurrencies to others. you can help to cultivate the use of cryptocurrencies globally. this makes the digital currency into one of the strong economic system.

My temporary strategy is to wait for the BTC to reach a high and sell it at the top. The altcoin is dropping sharply and waiting for NEO to fall and reach the price of 0.004 i will buy it.

Yes true trading crypto is currently very confusing. I have to create a new strategy to trade crypto today.
unstable bitcoin prices make the price of crypto unpredictable. my current strategy is to do some arbitrage from some market and it is very profitable.
hopefully, in December, everything will be back to normal.

Cryptos are still very much tradeable and you only need to be extra careful as usual in your trade. I still bought some altcoins yesterday during the dump and I made a huge profit on most of them when they got pumped a little today.
So, most times, the risk might just be worth it and with a calculated one, it usually is. The volatility is just the gold mine if you know how to play it well.

You got the point of current coin condition.
It is not that interesting to do trading now.

Is it really a plan to go back there in 2016?

It's a difficult time at the moment because people are selling their alts in order to buy bitcoin and qualify for the various airdrops.

But after November the alt space should go back to normal. Be patient and take a holiday in the meanwhile. Smiley

I stopped trading bitcoins few months ago, basically because there were lots of new alt coins and such, it became way too hard for me to follow everything so that i could get profit. But i am sure that cryptos are tradable.... There wouldn't be any traders left if it wouldn't be possible to earn from trading anymore.

For me the best strategy is long term holding. And trying to buy new best coins!

Yes i had the impression of this a few days ago when i wanted to trade some Dash for bitcoin, it took more than six minutes to my order to get filled.
There is not enough volume in the market, go to check poloniex, and try to compare them to July's volume, you will se that there is not even a 60% of that.
It is sad, because it was easy to take profit before, now it takes much more time.

People who traded up until recent times have been outrageously spoilt by the volumes and price movements. That type of action can't last forever and it's amazing that it did last as long as it has. There will always be peaks and troughs.

Now is the time to take some long term positions by scooping up some coins that give you a bone. The action will be back some day. No one can say when of course.

We have to have along term view of trading strategy in other to come up with a very nice profit. Cryptocurrency trading has a pattern that the market has been following for quite some time now. Many people are abandon their trading strategy because it has not been working but many also are adopting new strategy in cryptocurrency trading. My current trading strategy is to buy coins that are less than a dollar and sell them in the next six months.

I'm also suffering from trading bots and softwares because if you ask me, the market can't make this kind of transactions and trades if they're managed by humans beings. These should be all bots. Normal human traders can't make stupid trades like this. See, all of the prices are totally down!

I think the thread starting post is oversimplificated. Yes, there is lower volume than during the spring 2017. And yes, there are bulls and bears, and they were here even in the spring. We go through a certain period of market condition and you have to adapt. At the end of the day, it is always about fear and greed.

Trading was indeed a lot more fun in Q2 and you really had to screw up to make the value of your portfolio decrease. It was a situation that couldn't last. I got back into the cryptomarket some time ago and things go a lot slower now; I'm mostly in alts currently and kinda 'stuck' as BTC has gained ground in the last few weeks while alts generally have lost a bit of value. I expect no succesfull trades this month for me personally, but that doens't bother me much tbh.

No doubt trading is a bit more risky and hard than other ways of earning but i don't agree with your statement that cryptos are not tradeable. Cryptocurrency are well tradable and huge profitable than others if you have patience. Nothing new in the trend these scenarios was also observed in the past, just go with BTC in current situations.

i don't know, i am still trading them and i see the volume is still high enough according to cryptocurrency trading standards. maybe it is not as high as a couple of months ago where all the altcoins were being pumped like crazy but it is still decent enough for trading.

besides with all these recent dumps there is bound to be a recovery pretty soon. some of the altcoins even had the recovery. you buy at the bottom and dump them after they recovered. not to mention all the margin trading that is possible to do when they are going down.

I think there are some opportunities in altcoin markets, the problem now is the huge number of altcoins and tokens, and this number is increasing Significantly with the new ICOs and airdrops that appear daily, thus new traders get confused where to put their money.
more coins more opportunity but hard to decide where you put your money to invest i must agree that altcoin yes lot opportunities there but all you gonna do is more research before grab some opportunity on it.

in that time eth, btc and alt coins price is very low. if i had chance then i would like to buy all coins. now i'm trying to buy eth coins but its price very high. present it's boom also high. if once i went back i would like to correct my mistakes and try to buy few all type of coins. but now i had no chance to buy because it's price more high. if i went back i had save more money and buying a lot of eth coins next bit coins finally alt coins.

ok let assume that we're back to december 2016,
after what will happen ? Bitcoin price is doubling  and other alts is pumping right ?
and now you're talking about it,which is completely nonsense and questionable.
what do you mean by this :
Quote
Cryptos are not tradable anymore
and this :
Quote
Not enough volume, bull vs bear....Bots....
do you even understand what are you talking about ?
if you said it's not tradeable, why would you said 'low volume' ? not tradeable mean is can not be buy or sell.
which mean there'll be no volume.

crypto trend ?
it's very obvious ,in the next few days we should see another run for Bitcoin.
and other alts will be underwater.
remember about another 'Bitcoin' will be created at 25 oct?
that is the reason this bull run

Can't see a pull back of all altcoins to december 2016. Examples: ETH was under 50$, Litcoin was at 4$, Doges where on 0.00017 $, BCN where on 0.00005 and so on. Hold them on longterm and you will see, that they will be still on uoturn.

not really. I think you are just caught up in the big bull pump market of this year which lasted a couple of months. it was a rare thing which rarely happens on that scale. in general altcoin market looks like this with everything getting dumped big time and the pumps are only a handful of different coins every day and the pumps are shorter than dumps.

it has always been like this. for now if you look around you can still find potential for profit among altcoins and every day a new coin is getting pumped. find those and make profit.

as for bitcoin, it is still the king and THE long term investment.

You are so right, the last month altcoins boom that happened was really, really awesome.

As you said, Bitcoin remain THE king Wink

Well I dont trade anymore, for me its a waste of time for
very little if any gain, granted I was only trading with about
$200 of altcoin/bitcoin but still I found it time consuming.

I wouldnt have thought it was getting a hard hit as there will
always be people who want to make profits and trading is
very alluring.

At the moment of today, yes it's almost a job. I remember the recent altcoins boom that happened a few months ago and it was a really, really good hype.

No risk no gain...But recently, from my point of view, most of the exchanges lost a lot of cryptos ''trafic'' like we used to knew it.

I don't agree with your statement that "cryptos are not tradable anymore! Because cryptos are very well tradable and a lot of people are earning a good amount of income every single day through crypto trading. I myself trade during the weekends and still earn a decent amount of profit. But yes, trading is time consuming and not for quick profit earners. It requires a lot of patience because tracking market is a very tedious job. But that rewards me suitably.

I mostly do arbitrage through bitcoin and ETH, mostly ETH because the transactions are quick and fits with my speed of decision making. Earlier I used to arbitrage using bitcoin but that requires a lot of idle money to keep in various exchanges. So I switched to ETH now and everything is going smoothly by God's grace.
