Anyone that is going for airdrops should be expecting phishing attacks. Several of them. It is worth knowing that an airdrop can be fake. Sometimes nothing good will come out of it. It can even be a scam like paying money before you will receive the airdrop.
True, I participated in several airdrops when there was an announcement on social twitter phishing attacks came after below the official thread, so it is necessary to identify well which one is legitimate and which one is a scam because hundreds of phishing will always attack.

There are still many ways of fake airdrop behavior, by asking for money in advance before receiving an airdrop, when they are told to fill out a form and enter an email then your email can be attacked by continuing to send phishing links.

Telegram mini games are surely the hype this season. While participating in them, you should be aware to follow the rules, use your time diligently and be active on as much good games as possible getting more points with less effort. Putting all your time in a single game might not be worth it. Look at youtube and social media for tips and tricks to legitimately increase your rewards. Don't risk your accounts with third party bots and automation. Look for good resources that would help you find and walk through popular games. A few successful project doesn't mean every of them would be a success so don't put all your attention to them.

Crypto Airdrops happen when a project gives out a number of tokens to previous protocol users.

The biggest Airdrops historically have been Uniswap, Apecoin and dYdX.

While some People accumulate single project with multiple wallet, they’re known as Airdrop farmers, they often use hundreds of wallets to interact with same project. On the other hand, projects try to identify and exclude these wallets during allocation.

So, while airdrops can be very lucrative, they are much harder to qualify for these days and even genuine users may get left out.

Yes, sometimes airdrops require us to connect the wallet we have. It's best for people who are hunting for airdrops to always use a new wallet, or don't have many assets in it. I also recommend not using the main wallet. However, there are many cases of phishing or asset theft via airdrops that offer quite attractive prizes. In fact, some of these coins appear to be available for sale on several DEXes.

getting a phishing attack is like monday stroll for airdrop hunter, the fact that we're always constantly connecting to the new dapps is like exposing ourselves to the malicious code that these new dapps probably having, but we can easily contain such risk by using new address where we don't really spend money.
I remember people were getting rugged by some dapps in zksync when there was no TGE yet and people are still trying to increase their chance of being eligible for the airdrop by supplying liquidity in many dapps.

key takeaway, always see whether the dapps that we gonna interact with have audited contract codes, never blindly approving token spending to the contract address, and always do airdrop that's coming from reliable team with extensive reputation.

Nice one mate!

I'm having hard times in participating on this airdrops because almost all I have come across this days are more or invest to earn airdrops.

I couldn't take the risk but ima try out one this time using this few guards, I never thought of using a different wallet from my usually wallet for the airdrops and some few I participated on I already connected my wallet to it.

Maybe I will use a different wallet for airdrops now.

#Telegram Mini Apps
This is the most Hyped thing this season. A couple of projects have been launched on Telegram already and people make a lot of money out of it. NotCoin is the project of this year. There are a lot more projects that are ongoing which is completely investment-free. All you have to do is, complete some social tasks and earn points. Some worthy projects to mention are Blum, Hotcoin, memefi, and Yescoin.
Telegram mini apps are actually the most hyped this season with lots of different projects coming out, Notcoin success was what paved way for these many projects but what i fear a lot is that people will be disappointed from participating in many of these airdrops because alot of them are fake. With the increase in population of these telegram mini airdrops to identify the legitimate ones will be difficult especially for beginners who merely join because of the success of Notcoin and amount earned by it participants. It will take an experienced person to identify the legit projects and with the large number of participants it will be difficult to earn a reasonable amount from these airdrops.

What you should avoid?
You always should use dedicated social media accounts, dedicated Gmail, and wallets as well. So, even if you do something wrong, you never get harmed. Do not connect your wallet to untrusted websites. Do not click on links that were shared on Twitter.
You have come up with good tips to prevent hacks and scams but still one needs to be extremely cautious with airdrops. They can be beneficial and at the same time fake leading to waste of time.

Yes. You are right. Not so long ago, I have created a thread that my metamask wallet was drained. It was late at night and I was on my phone/ Suddenly an email came from Galxy and I did not check the sender and did not carefully check the URL as well. I have connected my wallet and my wallet was drained. So, I added the point in the OP that you should use a dedicated crypto wallet for airdrop hunting.

Maybe Im late but since march 24 I dont see huge amount from the airdrop I just see myself earned total maybe around 300 USD till this date but since the airdrop is free money and I dont do nothing in real life why not try one right

I have made around 800+ USD so far and it's not too bad actually. I believe a lot more to come because I have joined a couple of good airdrops already.

Among all these telegram Airdrops mentioned, a lot will not pay trust me when I say so. Notcoin paid too well and this is another means by which fake project are also going to kick off their plans. Where was other projects before Notcoin, a few might pay but with lesser tendency of happening. It also calls to be careful, connecting of wallet is another privileged for them to scam people.

This is unfortunate but true. There are hundreds of Telegram mini-apps at this moment and you have to pick the right one. But, I am doing my research to avoid potential scammers. Since I don't have to invest money in Telegram mini-apps, we are safe from financial damage. But, still a lot of projects will end up not paying their users.

Thanks for the information, I personally will start with social airdrops, although it can be said that it is not very promising and the success rate is very low, starting that step for beginners like me will not hurt,
The most important thing is to be careful and as much as possible avoid phishing or the like that will make us lose time, thought and energy.

Fraud is now a popular issue on Telegram, where scammers use the connection between wallets on the Ton platform to their advantage during airdrops, after which they steal all funds from the wallets. Please be careful!

Hi There!

Once again, the crypto airdrops are on its pick and people are making a lot of money out of it. I have been doing airdrop farming lately. But since I wasn't doing airdrops before, I had to face some difficulties and I believe others could have the same issue when they are going to start farming airdrops.

What are crypto airdrops?
Google or AI can give you the best answer. But, I will share I know. New platforms such as DEX, CEX, and even web3 social websites, and lending services offer crypto airdrops to their early users to increase engagement. New coins that are going to be launched on the market offer crypto airdrops as well.

Why do those platforms give away free money?
To explain this, I will have to categorize the airdrops as well.

#Social Airdrops: Even though it looks like they are giving it for free, it's not. Not all airdrops are the same. Some of them ask their users to do some simple social tasks such as joining their discord servers, following their Twitter, and retweeting their posts. However, the success rate of social airdrops is very low.

#Beta test Airdrops: Some other platforms ask their users to test their services and users can earn some points by doing those tasks. For example, If a dex is going to be launched, they will require you to swap some testnet tokens, provide liquidity, withdraw liquidity, take faucet, etc etc and they will give you some points based on your activity. Later on, they may reward their beta testers.

#Investment based Airdrops: Mostly this is done by new cryptocurrency teams. To participate in this type of airdrop, you have to invest real money. Most of their tasks are like providing liquidity and participating in their ecosystem by doing various activities. The most recent airdrop was Blast.io (An ETH layer 2 blockchain).

#Telegram Mini Apps

What do you need to start doing Airdrops?

1. A laptop or Desktop, or a Smartphone. (If you use smartphone, make sure to use Kiwi or Mises browser)
2. A couple of dedicated Web3 wallets (metamask, rabby, rainbow)
3. Dedicated social media accounts (Telegram, Discord, Twitter, Reddit, and Gmail)
4. Testnet tokens on a couple of networks.
5. Real crypto on multiple chains for Gas fees.

What you should avoid?
You always should use dedicated social media accounts, dedicated Gmail, and wallets as well. So, even if you do something wrong, you never get harmed. Do not connect your wallet to untrusted websites. Do not click on links that were shared on Twitter.

Note: I am posting this thread now. But, I will update this thread from time to time as soon as I get some other points that should be mentioned.
