i'd like to see a living and breathing implementation of it that's actually used and subjected to some pressure before deciding once and for all. securing a major chain for a few grand in power consumption versus multiple millions is an appealing principle.
LOL - back in my late 20s I worked for a computer chain just when the "Acer" brand came out. We would routinely refer to those systems as "POS" systems right in front of customers.
