I'm just gonna close this, since I foresee nothing constructive coming out of this thread at this point. The OP has been answered sufficiently.

I don't know. I certainly don't trust the US's reporting considering Osama has only benefited their destructive war policy.

Again, you didn't answer my question.  I didn't ask you for facts, I asked you for what you believed.
I believe in facts.

Do you consider Russia Today to be a trustworthy source of journalism?

The source here seems to be the words of an American ex-CIA agent who currently teaches a graduate course on Al Qaeda at Georgetown University.

Just because Atlas posted something doesn't automatically mean it's wrong. Only usually.

That book was written by a Pulitzer Prize winner and has hundreds of sourced quotes from ex-CIA saying mainly the same sort of thing.

I question the legitimacy of who Osama Bin Laden is overall.

They have little to no incentive to distort information elsewhere. Russia is pretty sovereign to foreign interests.

Do you believe Osama bin Laden died this year and in the way the US Government reported it?

On anything besides local Russian news. Haha. They have little to no incentive to distort information elsewhere. Russia is pretty sovereign to foreign interests.

3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause

The most significant common thread among these regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to divert the people’s attention from other problems, to shift blame for failures, and to channel frustration in controlled directions. The methods of choice—relentless propaganda and disinformation—were usually effective. Often the regimes would incite “spontaneous” acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists, socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities, traditional national enemies, members of other religions, secularists, homosexuals, and “terrorists.” Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.
