I have taken out time, to look at a live chat of some exchanges chat rooms. What you see there is a heavy speculations and persuasions to buy or sell a/some tokens with a frivolous claim that it will ever moon heavily or dump badly. Now here is something I have notice overtime, the ones they would say "buy now and Lambo later" will usually dump real bad causing insensible investors to loss fund. In the other way, the tokens they recommended you to sell or cry later will go on to break every resistance and go ATH.

I have followed twice in such calls, I won one and loss one completely. But currently, I do not follow anymore but just only read the chat as a for of comical jesting. What do you think of exchange chat rooms?

It has a portion on a coin being pumped, when I see it at first I totally knew it was meant for that kind of attraction. Then later on when I engage on the chat I kept on shouting of what coins I have and what will come of after several minutes. How foolish I am to think intelligent people to believe me, only the fools got caught on that, now I am staying out of it as much as I could-even catching a glimpse on what they are talking is rarely to happen. I think for those who really want to ensure they are saying true words then you should check by your self on the social sites of the coin and dig deeper on what is really happening, guess that's what a chat room is- a starting point for those who are looking for a hyped coin and play the game.

Once fell for that when I was still learning, "The Highway, full of Deceitful Devils".
Few losses and lesson learnt the hard way, now gets my head around what the reason there is to investing in any token.
Lesson learnt.

I have never looked into the Troll boxes of any exchange seriously. There is just a bunch of trolls or unsuccessful traders who think that they are successful when their target reached without any analysis. Its called "Troll box" for a reason  Grin

To me,  I think that the chat room of most exchange causes more harm than good to many coin and tokens. Lot of fudders are in there there creating unnecessary panic and anxiety for others (weak minded) who literally believe everything said in the chat room. Most exchange chat room /box needs to be closed although their functionality and existence also depends on it just like MERCATOX.
We need to say a big NO to irrelevant and dramatic chat rooms in exchanges to avoid loss of funds.

I'm glad you have realized that it is a sales ploy.

Investors really have to do their own research. Everyone will try to tell your their shitcoins are the best.

The rule of thumb I use is:  Is it going to give me a return on my investment as good as or better than bitcoin OR is the idea behind the project so amazing that I want to be part of it.

IF not - I don't spend my bitcoin.

Regardless of how good an investment may seem - diversify. You may not get maximum gain - but you are also not exposed to maximum losses.

What you see is the troll box. I hope you do understand what they call it that way. I remember once exchange de-activate it sometime because of the trolling. LMAO, don't follow them because that's one way how they pump-and-dump groups pumps a certain coin. But it good that you understand now how everything works in crypto, don't listen to them make your own decision on what coins you want to invest or to trade.

Chat on the exchange can't be used to exchange such information. Sorry, but believing in the advice of strangers is very stupid. Did you really think that someone just share useful information in the chat room? It is best to close the chat and not read what is written there. You go to the exchange in order to trade, and not entertain, so trade. Look at the charts, analyze the situation, choose the entry point and the exit point and act according to the plan. Looking through chat will only distract you.
And for the future: you need to understand that nobody will share valuable information with you on the crypto market. So don't be naive and never listen to people's advice from the chat or signals from such groups. Always think for yourself!
