For me, security is always the number one reason on choosing the best exchange. I am more comfortable giving my business and time with an exchange with 2FA option through google authenticator plus 2FA via email and like BITTREX. It would also be nice if an exchange can send you a notification through text message when someone activates your account like BITHUMB. Reputation, easy to navigate, customer support and competitions are also my top picks when choosing an exchange.

I feel secured if the customer support of an exchange is attendant and 24/7 available. Also the amount of time to transact is crucial, I do not have enough patience to wait, the maximum time is 30 minutes and nothing more. Security is the most important thing in an exchange, and one of the best features is a 2fa using my mobile phone.

Security is the top choice, some exchangers have a bad level of security. I can not mention it here.
the most fundamental thing is that members feel protected when doing withdrawing or deposit and when making transactions.
and when problems occur, the team finishes quickly.

Security and liquidity is number one for me, and second one is customer support, reputation and they regulated. I used multiple exchange too, because not all coins tradeable in one exchange.

In my opinion i will look into the security first. Security is most important for me so we cant get loss or scammed for what we have. Then it have connection with number or trading pairs that have done. Many pairs means many people trust the exchanger. The last maybe i look into the fees they offered. More cheap more good. Its no big problem as they can offer good secure for us.
The same for me.
At first security, because - if you have a high level of risks, you need to minimize it.

For me, the exchange's reputation, its security, the volume of trading, the conclusions without delays, the number of pairs that are traded on this exchange are important.

For me the most important aspect of exchange is security. With more news of exchanges being hacked, people are dumping due to that. I'm excited for a new exchange project called SafeCrypt.io. A high security exchange that has high standards of quality and every piece of software is being tested multiple times before they make it publicly available. Seems to be a game changing exchange from the whitepaper.

What do you look for when selecting exchanges? Presumably most people will trade on multiple exchanges, but what criteria do you use to select exchanges if the cryptocurrency you want to trade is listed on more than one exchange? Personally I would put security, liquidity and number of trading pairs as my top 3 factors to consider.

Personally I need TA and moving averages. Stream lined use of use is essential too. Liquidity is important and it's sad that most exchanges are difficult to get your fiat out quickly. This is why I am excited for Darico.io's exchange.

Security is the most important features an exchange should have. We do not want another exchange getting hacked because of poor security. Accessibility or loading time and fees should follow. If it have these features, just a good pr and volume, pairs and everything will follow.

Sadly there is a limitation when I will try to choose more than 3 choices from the list.

1 Security, This to ensure all of the trader's money will be safely stored by the exchange site itself.

2 Liquidity to provide an easy way for the users to liquidate their money but significant cash means that's only applicable to the major exchange site.

3 Exchange location because this is an essential thing, anytime it can be halted by the government that against the crypto activity. And the crypto friendly country is a must.

Security, liquidity, fees, support, and trading pairs should be good. Might choices might too many but we should consider all of this to be present in an exchange since trading on a limited quality feature exchange should not be an option for a trader.

While selecting an exchange, the security is a major priority to consider to avoid losing your coins in case of any cyber theft/attack. Secondly the reputation of exchange it must have enough positive reviews. Also, I consider the fees for cryptocurrency withdrawal, trading & deposit fees must be reasonable. I mostly select those exchange that provides trading with USD/EURO pair if my coin is listed on that exchange, as it saves me time & transaction/withdrawal fees. If the coin is not listed then I have to trade them on small exchange with BTC/ETH then have to transfer it to big exchange offering fiat trading then withdrawal to my bank account. Also while selecting exchange customer support is also a very important factor as you may need support from them often if you face any issue like withdrawal action is not executed or your coins are stuck. If the customer support is bad not answering within time then you have to wait for a long time for your issue to get resolved & you will get drained until that time.

I think that the main advantages of the exchange should be precisely cheap commissions and cheap addition of coins, I think that these are the main advantages for a normal exchange
