I use kraken as fiat-exchange, and bittrex because of the vast amount of available altcoins. bitfinex and poloniex for some special coins

Hey Fellow Crypto Warriors,

NUB here trying to trade smartly by finding the most effective tools to best maneuver my way through these murky crytpo waters.

It is my understanding that the crypto market is extremely dynamic and the tools, as well as best practices change from month to month.

Having said that can anyone in a few sentences outline the core differentiators between the following platforms, as well as what platform you are using today and why specifically that one (or for which trades do you prefer platform "x", while other trades you prefer platform "y"):

1) Polonix
2) Bittrex
3) Kraken
4) Hitbtc
5) Bitstamp

Looking forward to your input.

Happy trading!

Mostly i do make active trades specially on new erc20 tokens then i would like to add up on Etherdelta even it is not on the list but yet on selecting on the exchanges on the selection i would always go for Bittrex. Poloniex might be famous and reputable but for me Bittrex have taken that place knowing that Poloniex is facing lots of issues as of now.I have tried also hitbtc i do love their UI too.

I've made a thread asking people to compare Poloniex vs Yobit , After I read their replies I concluded Poloniex is a good exchange https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21110874
For others platforms , I didn't use them yet , I used to use Yobit but leaved it these days

Traded on Polo and bittrex, but since polo have major issues with ETH stop and left them, now im more on bitt for trading and cex for fiat withdrawal, and both are working fine and and pleased for the moment. Maybe i will return to polo but when they fix this issues, rest dont use and I never did, but have some that say that stamp is also good one and have good customer support.

Than you for the input! I have been reading much of the same, which was why I wanted to get some fresh input from traders. Supposedly there are serious issues with polo customer service, which naturally only surfaces when you an issue, but then it's too late  Shocked

I only use Poloniex and Bittrex. I started with Poloniex as the volume there was high and the number of pairs are larger than others but, I have read a lot of withdrawal nightmare in Poloniex like delay in moving ETH from Poloniex to the wallet. Personally I didn't experience that issue but I will not wait for that time that it happens to me. That's why I switched to Bittrex, volume there is now higher than before and more pairs are offered. Happy with the withdrawals. No issue encountered. With #3, #4 and #5 exchange  don't have an account with them. Its hard to maintain a lot of trading platforms.
