The main problem you will face is deposit and withdrawal in higher value. Their support system will be very poor. Apart from this some exchanges even manipulate the price of some coins and when they do this they will put the wallet of that coin in maintenance.
the high costs that must be incurred are indeed a major problem, but on the other hand security features are things that must be considered, when we want to withdraw the funds we have from the site requires us to KYC and can be burdensome if indeed the money we will withdraw is very needed for urgent needs because the KYC process requires approval that cannot be done in a short time.

Main problem for all exchanges is hacking. But hacking is not for exchanges only they can hack anything and anyone, you me him companies...... They have tools for it and for them its just moment. However they are other problem too with exchanges. Exchanges must be user friendly and with fast responses and good and communicative support. Without that they are doom and our crypto is finished. If they have technical problems they need to solved them ASAP if not many users will leave that exchange. Other problems dont want to mentioned think these are good for now.

Mostly all cryptocurrency exchanges are vulnerable to hacker attacks. And that problem takes place even at the present. No matter how much you trust your exchange, you should watch and take care of your assets.
The first comment was enough to say every problems through majority of these exchanges.

It doesn't mean they have higher fees, you are safe, your money is safe and you can't experience inconvenience.

And out of the trust that we are putting to exchanges, one problem was made by us. What's that? because we fully trust it, we are ok letting our coins stay there and using them as a cold storage.

Actually, not every exchange charges high fees for deposits/withdrawals. For instance, cex takes only 3.5% for making a deposit by card, and no fees with bank transfers. And now they even provide benefits for that (https://blog.cex.io/news/wire-bonus-17716).

hi all,
i want to know the problems involve in most exchanges and how can we overcome such problems.
mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
please i need your idea or oppinion.

No, higher withdrawal fees doesn't equate with better security features. On the contrary, exchanges having big fees usually doesn't have a good support as well. Of course hacking is the main problem and to overcome it, exchanges should always be on guard as to prevent those hackers. In your end, try to secured your account and don't put too much money on any exchanges, just enough for you to make trades and if you accumulated in the 5 digit range, much better to withdraw it in your wallet where you have full control. Another worst thing that can happen is exchanges freezing your account and money and requiring you KYC before you can get your funds out which requires months to process.
Wondering why do people think up this way where fees is correlated with security of such exchange? Its definitely no connection because fees has nothing to do with exchange security because they are really a different thing. IDEX had been mentioned which is a decentralized exchange which do mostly trade out Erc20 tokens, he do able to say high fees when the ETH networks clogs out and ask high amount of gas on each transaction.
The main problem of exchangers is security itself, tendency of hacking can really be done if hackers wanted to and as a user this would really be an important factor to be consider when we choose up exchangers.

1. If you're going to deposit a big amounts, deposit them in small portions as exchanges have deposit (technical) issues so If for some reason the deposit didn't go through, you won't lose everything.

2. Always withdraw your funds as soon as you finish trading, exchanges can close your account and enforce KYC/AML verification without prior notice.

3. Always take a backup of your 2FA. An exchange may not be able to help you If you lose it.

And no, just because an exchange is charging higher fees, doesn't mean that It's more secure or safer.

I think that you have listed everything, and I have nothing to add. It will be useful for the author to pay attention to your help

not all exchange has good security, even a good exchange can also be hacked by hackers, such as binance and MTGOx.

I think the main problem of any exchange is security, not a fee. so I think that we dare to use every exchange which has an expensive fee but give us very good security.

Well most of the exchange site bill us very high fees and that is one of the area which the crypto world need more work in other to make the ecosystem more friendly for easy trading and exchanging for personal use, I have discovered that most of the exchange have fixed exchange fees weather for small or big transactions which is not suppose to be so we need more advancement in that area.

If for the exchange problem I think fee is indeed one of the most impactful with transaction that we will do. So if for other problems I think the duration of time long enough between one transaction with another transaction.

I think there is some problem in exchange for Bitcoin. Various exchanges are not good value, so those who work on Bitcoin have to be frustrated. Bitcoin will find out the best solutions from the point of exchange.

Especially this. HitBTC charges astronomical amounts for deposits and withdrawals and while they are a decent exchange, they certainly aren't the best around. Compare that with the likes of Kucoin and Binance who had a 50k satoshi withdrawal fee, and you can clearly see that statement is nowhere close to being true.

Yeah, some of the fees you have to deal with on HitBTC are crazy. Also the gradient of denominations they let you make trades with is really high. Like 0.01 or even 0.001 BTC increments is wildly high. I don't know if they still have that but it's a lot.

IDEX doesn't have high fees. You can customize the gas price yourself before making any transaction. It is just like any Ethereum wallet. This is the beauty of the Decentralized exchanges, you can control your trades yourself and there is no risk of getting hacked or scammed. You will get the option to change the gas price under trasnfer option, there will be a sliding bar where you can choose the desired gas price and can make the tx.

actually there are circumstances that  some tradings exchanges have higher fare rate while at the same time is not secure to make trading due to some factors of hacking  just like happen in other trading exchange like binance, and etherdelta, thats was victim of hacking before, and this idex thats you said that when you making a transaction just asking your private key,and i'm thinking thats this not secure kind of transaction with a higher amount of processing fee.

I think a good exchange is an exchange that has been very long, big and always busy used by people, meaning that the exchange is already trustable by people. don't once you use a new exchange, because many  scam new on exchanges.
the exchange problem is hacked by hackers, as above says. exchanges of Binance, Idex and Bithum can be hacked by hackers, but the exchange can replace the missing coins from their members.
so always be careful in choosing your coin exchange.

for us also the biggest and also reliable, for us you can trade in market .hitbtc, binance, poloniex and also in bittrex, for us also will easy to get profit, and also many new coins there.
poloniex is not a reliable exchange. I have long withdrawn my capital from there. You of course can get lucky and you will not experience problems but my rule to leave the exchange after the first signals that users periodically have problems. Now really a lot of exchanges but there is no one reliable and universal. It seems to me that this market is still open for honest business.

I like add few more problems that the traders are experiencing with most of exchanges.

Traders must have to deposit more than the minimum amount that the exchange ask for a particular coin. If the trader deposited less than the asking minimum deposit amount they will loose that amount.
The other issue is that traders have to trade more than a certain amount in order to execute the trade. If a trader wants to trade a small amount, he/she won't be able to trade with these limitation.
One of major drawback of decentralized exchanges run on Ethereum blockchain is extra fee that the trader has to pay as the GAS cost. If the GAS cost went lot higher, trader will be ended up with paying considerable amount of GAS fees.

Traders should aware of these things before they trading.

Sometimes fees on IDEX,forkdelta and etherdelta are much higher than other exchanges. And just imagine they also charge you when you cancel your sell/buy order. Most of the exchanges don't charge when you do this. This is my problem in exchanging in decentralized exchangers but we can't do anything about that as most of the tokens we sell or buy are only on this exchanges at first.

if for me wherever the exchange for us to trade certainly has some disadvantages, if we say fi a crypto exchange for me does not pledge for security for people who trade in it, maybe if for example there are small problems most likely still can be helped for us solve it, so everything is at risk and we should be careful of.

This is why it is advisable to store your money in the original purse and not swap because they can be attacked at any time eg Bithumb and coinrail exchange rumors. Exchanging requires too much expense when you will withdraw your money or even in the transaction.

A higher fees doesn’t guarantee security. It is better to take out funds once the work is done. If we are to deal with a huge amount, it will be a wise move to ration out the portions, i.e. to deposit in smaller amount. And lastly, always have backups.

The higher exchange fees is one of the common problem of all traders in crypto trading industry. Some exchanges are requiring too much cost of fees when you are going to withdraw your coins or even in trading. And also the popularity of exchanges are one of the problem of traders because some token or coin are not being listed on where did they want to list theirs cryptos.

There has been a lot of hacking so don't put in all your coins and tokens in one exchange.  And please dont leave it all on the exchanges. After you trade, take it out.
Security is really the problem right now because of hacking from place to other places, and people who knows cryptocurrency are panicking around the world. Higher fees doesn't mean a good and secured exchange so don't trust much your exchanges always play on the safe side withdraw as long as possible.
Yes security is the main problem that we currently facing, but there are some other problems that we are also facing from exchanges, for example the transaction fee is also too much high, which restrict people to use bitcoin and other currencies because of their high fees. i think exchanges should review their fee transaction fee structure and should give some relief to investors.

There are some rules that you need to follow before exchanging your coins. Firstly , deposit your coins in small amount if you are thinking exchanging a bi amount. Secondly, if an exchange is asking for higher fee, it does not mean that it would be more secure.

expensive transaction costs on the exchange does not mean it ensures security, especially hackers with fake web spreaders often occur because the web is still weak and easily duplicated by hackers, all exchanges actually have their own risks and have weaknesses, my opinion all exchanges are not a safe place to save funds you

You dont need to worry about the high fees and i think in IDEX, the fee is standard.
High fees doesnt mean that exchange not safe. You should suspect the exchange with very low fees.

Fee is not a guarantee  that  an exchange is secure from hacks or that they are exchanges  with a good reputation. In fact, high fee to me means the exchange is poor and inefficient.try and stick with exchange that have shown to be customer  friendly and with good reviews from previous users.

Well, one thing that is lacking is the fact that exchanges will not sign any Bitcoin address for you as proof that you own that Bitcoin address. So when someone ask you to sign an address for some reason, then you will be unable to do that.

The other thing is that exchanges own all coins deposited to them, because they own the private keys to all addresses where coins are deposited. When there is a hard fork, people will only receive free coins linked to these addresses, if the exchange makes the decision to pay that to the users.   Roll Eyes

The most common problems you may face is security issues. Recently we have seen that two exchanges has been hacked within a short span of time. So, I think this is a major issue to look on.

Besides the security issues which everyone is aware of, there are also other problems. The first problem with which we are all acquainted is the problem with the registration. Not all exchanges have the same set of rules when registration starts. Banks can also become a big problem when they won't process bank transfers that are related to the Bitcoin-related business. There are many cons which the crypto holders are struggling with when dealing with the exchanges. The worst thing that can happen I absolutely the hacking of the certain exchange; and even bigger fail is if you don't transfer your funds prior the hack. Every exchange has its cons and pros and it is for users to decide in the end which exchange will they choose. There will always be problems with exchanges ( The exchange users should find the solution prior to the problem ).

Usually the bigger fee is used by an exchange for their customer to make them confident. It's because with the bigger amount of fee, the transaction will more quickly.
But about the safety about your funds, I suggest to invest in local exchange, don't put your huge capital on exchange which you don't ever to meet their office in your country.

the biggest problem that we are facing with exchanges is the fact that they either scam you or they get hacked and go bankrupt. they may also say they were hacked but in reality they have scammed you. for example Bittrex which used to be one of the biggest altcoin exchanges scammed thousands of users selectively last year and stole their money.

mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
having higher or lower fees have nothing to do with being safe for trading!

Yeah. It's not about high fees or lower fees. You need is to be safe, in terms of trading you should know that you don't need to keep all your coin in one exchange , because scammers are always there and you need to aware from that.

We can't overcome the technical issues that each exchange are having because it need to be solved on their side and not in out part. The only thing we could do is be cautious and choose wisely when searching for a good exchange to start trading with. You should be able to follow their social media account so you can be somehow updated to the latest happenings in their platform like if there are any issues currently.

the biggest problem that we are facing with exchanges is the fact that they either scam you or they get hacked and go bankrupt. they may also say they were hacked but in reality they have scammed you. for example Bittrex which used to be one of the biggest altcoin exchanges scammed thousands of users selectively last year and stole their money.

mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
having higher or lower fees have nothing to do with being safe for trading!

You just don't invest your coins in any exchange. You should be careful, some coins are prone to hacking. Hacking is a major problem with exchanges so that your money do not grow wings Grin

Well more withdrawal fees doesn't mean that the exchange is better or secured . It doesn't come with the price. So I think ask for reviews in various forum to know about the exchanges.

I don’t have any issue or encountered problems on exchanges that I always used in trading. Maybe because I’m using a user friendly, very popular and on top three in ranking. Binance and hit-btc works for me, so do try using them as it will be worth it. But with this two if I have to choose only one then I go with Binance all time.

Transaction fees is not an issue with me when the security and trust on something is mattered.

Reviews and biased advertising will tell you different in real situation because experience will teach you what is best.

Advice# (don’t use exchanges as a wallet, withdraw funds that you won’t used to trade)

Decentralized layers are often very easy to steal user information so we should be careful.

hi all,
i want to know the problems involve in most exchanges and how can we overcome such problems.
mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
please i need your idea or oppinion.

It is true that so many exchangers have high transaction fee and sometimes I'm having second thought of withdrawing my fund after I trade because of the fee, but I guess it is more safer to withdraw than to hold your btc or eth in any exchangers just to make sure that your fund will not vanish. Acutally we cannot avoid the transaction fee with any exchangers because I assume it is where they get their operational expenses like the maintenance of the website, payment with admins and tech support, etc.. As long as the web site is safe and our fund is safe then never mind the fee because it is necessary since exchangers are business as well.

A lot of problems that are encountering from exchange and one of the most problem that I don't want to encounter was that some of the exchange cannot really be trusted, wherein you cannot entrust your money in them.

To overcome the exchange problems you have to maintain some rules and regulations. First of all, as soon as finishing your trading you should withdraw your funds, and always take a backup plan for risky exchanges.

The most common problems you may face is security issues. Recently we have seen that two exchanges has been hacked within a short span of time. So, I think this is a major issue to look on.
Can I ask, do they return money if their exchange was hacked and it wasn't in any way your fault? I never had issues with loosing coins on exchanges at all, but just to be sure?

Centralized exchanges fees are higher than decentralized exchanges like IDEX,Etherdelta and others because the former patch much for Staff handling your orders than Dex that has less staff at work

The most common problem to all exchange is security and liable to hacking which leads to loss of heavy funds. This is why it's advisable to store your coins in the original wallet and not exchanges because they can be hacked anytime e.g is the Bithumb and coinrail exchange hackings. So its advisable to just trade on exchanges and store in private personal wallets.

The problems are very common in our feels we cannot handle estimates this exchanges sometimes it will be the best for us sometime it will be but we cannot make a decision before being nothing but choosing the right extended is always very important right websites for your investment this is my little opinion for all the investors.
