The stupidest thing I have ever done was withdrawing my BTC from Bittrex for this fork. Sad

Well, yobit.net is one of the very few supporting it and there it went down 72% in the last 24 hours.
Don't expect that we will hear much about that fork in the future.

You can exchange but can't deposit: "No free addresses for such currency. Please try again in 2 minutes."

-snip-

Bittrex said the same about BTG a while ago, but they ended up adding it later anyway. It's all about the potential revenue they think will gain from a certain fork. Sure, the technical aspects will definitely play a role of importance to a certain extent, but the financial aspect is still leading. From there I strongly believe that if S2X is picking up in volume, maybe even get its code improved here and there, that Bittrex will end up listing it. I remember how BTG jumped from 0.013 BTC to +0.04 BTC at the moment they announced the listing. I am fairly sure that they used it as an opportunity to make quick profits. Wink

Apparently Bittrex does NOT support the coming B2X.

The below is what i got from Bittrex support.

============

The B2X http://b2x-segwit.io fork falls under this document with more details:
https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001919932
Bittrex takes into consideration some of the following criteria as mentioned in the article:

The existence of a development team and if they have contacted Bittrex
Whether the coin has public developers
Whether the coin has a Testnet
Whether there is availability of public code
Whether there is a premine. B2X has a premine https://github.com/SegwitB2X/bitcoin2x/commit/08220e2a3c8ba8f53801302a8b7b6d6da5a39645

In the case of B2X http://b2x-segwit.io it has failed under several criteria listed above.

In the future, if you would like to see a fork supported on Bittrex, encourage the dev team to fill out a New coin submission. Details: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583854

Because bittrex is a serious exchange in the opinion of many traders, I consider the bittrex refusal to support the b2x fork, a sign of distrust both in the team and in the specifications of the new b2x. Note the bittrex's decision to support this fork: "it has failed under several criteria"

Also wondering this.

Should I move my BTC to YoBit or leave it in Bittrex?

I think they're distrubuting only to those who had btc on their exchanges in November when segwit2x activated.

What exchanges are supporting SegWit2x?
Most of the big exchanges are expected to support B2X, however there are a few that have announced they either aren't or are waiting until it's safe. Most of the exchanges that will support it, including Coinbase have also announced they won't be trading for 24 hours before the fork for security.

For now, these are the exchanges that have confirmed they will be supporting B2X:

Bitfinex
BitOasis
Bitrefill
Bitso
Bittrex
BTCC
CEX.io
Coinbase
Coinfloor
CoinNest
HitBTC
Luno
OKCoin
OKEx
Unocoin (However, delayed for up to four weeks)
ViaBTC
Xapo

I did a lot of searches with reference to bittrex regarding accepting the b2x fork that will take place in a few hours now. I have not found an official announcement anywhere. Can anyone have a real reference to the bittrex official announcement?

Also wondering this.

Should I move my BTC to YoBit or leave it in Bittrex?
Bittrex haven't posted any update regarding latest b2x, they have stated support for b2x back in november but it got cancelled and haven't posted any update on the upcoming hardfork so it is still unclear.

Yobit gonna give you b2x in 1:1 ratio so you can move your BTC to yobit and sell those free b2x as soon as possible before other starts to dump it.

Can somebody share that is their any fees on Yobit on incoming btc transaction or is it free? Also what is the outgoing transaction fees and is it instant or you need to keep btc for some days in their wallet? Also can we transfer it now as well or time is over to do that?

By the way is Blockchain supporting this Segwithx2?

There is no extra fee charged by a site/service(other than you paying the tx fee) for depositing bitcoin/altcoin, when withdrawing you'll be charged a fixed amount for tx/miners fee.

Yobit fee page(https://yobit.net/en/fees/).

it's best to keep your coins on electrum or any other wallet that supports exporting private keys, you'll easily be able to claim fork coins.

Hi guys,
I seem to cannot find a definative answer which exchanges are good to go with segwitx2 on the 28th Dec?
What do I need to do to get the equivalent of additional coins and when can I expect something (if anything...).
Currently my (small) money are on Bittirex.
Any ideas?

How to get Bitcoin Segwit2X?

1. Futures Trading
Already now, Bitcoin Segwit2X futures [B2X] are traded on large crypto-exchanges, the list of which is constantly replenished. Stay tuned for updates on our website and social channels!
2. Bitcoin BTC storage on the wallets and services of our partners, the list of which is also constantly updated ( At our website in partners area https://b2x-segwit.io)
3. Bitcoin BTC storage on cold or online wallets, with access to private keys (To avoid misunderstandings, please, transfer your btc to other wallet and then use your private key in our wallet (it will be released very soon))

I've selected to use the third option as this is the most safe and sensible option for me. I already transferred all of my BTC to my Ledger Nano S to participate in this fork. For people out there who has hardware wallets, it is best for you to transfer your Bitcoin to those wallets before the screenshot for you to have your Bitcoin Segwit2x. As long as you know what you are doing, nothing can't go wrong here.

On the other note, I saw that you are a Copper Member Newbie. Is that a new member status here? What does it mean?  Grin I'm just curious.

If you want to understand the importance of this book, then you can better see site details.।First of all, you have to find every exchange that supports hardfire on 28th December. Hardfork support, on my local exchange vip.bitcoin 28dec. If you want to understand the importance of this book, then you can better see site details. 2.000.000 B2X, no one will support them, even BTG took 200.000 BTG premine coin lol

So is this list confirmed for sure?  Also does anyone know how long it would take for it to show in your wallet?

The other thing is what is the current price of just 1 segwit2?

It is probably stay exchangers which didn't announced they will give free kind yet. I use YoBit and they gave me Bitcoin Gold the last time, but I didn't get any announcement about that from them, so it was a surprise.

https://yobit.net/en/trade/B2X/BTC
https://hitbtc.com/B2X-to-BTC

Are two exchanges who have already opened future trading for b2x and there might be more after actual fork. If you will have bitcoin in two of this exchanges during the time of fork you will automatically get equal amount of b2x coin after fork.

Sorry,
Yes - hardfork not an airdrop.
So what happens now - B2X is supposed to be listed on Bittirex on the 2nd January.
Are owners of BTC supposed to automatically get equivalent of B2X or we need to do something?

If they will list it then they should credit you at the time of the snapshot. The one big thing this hinges on is the replay protection. Bitcoin Gold didn't have it and as a result it was slow to get distributed. Bitcoin 2X will likely distribute at some point only question is now or later?
I wonder if there is any official announcement from Bittrex.
Since I have some btc there, it would be nice if I don't have to withdraw it to get b2x.

That happened with BTG for me. At first I didn't bother even to look but it turns out that as soon as Btg was listed on Bittrex I automatically got the equivalent amount. It was even a week later that I made some effort to split whatever btc I had in a software wallet. I am confused as to how hard it will be the split of B2X in a software wallet this time (compared to BCH for example) but I assume that everyone that's not in a hurry to get it and dump it, will eventually find an easier way. After a while guides and tips pop up all over the Internet, so I'll play it safe and wait. The only thing that bothers me is the replay protection, but I'll hope for some tested and thorough guides since I don't have sufficient knowledge myself.

Hi!
Firstly, it isn't airdrop, it's a hardfork. You can check the F.A.Q on the official Segwit2X website here: https://b2x-segwit.io/

About the exchanges, they announce the list. Feel free to submit a support ticket to your favorite exchange and ask if they foresee the Segwit2x fork listing anytime soon.
