Any trader that does not understand the reason I asked for this kind of feature may not know much about trading. Having low leverage as max can help to be a responsible trader. It can also help to avoid high risk martingale strategy. I wish not to go more than 2.5x leverage, but sometimes I will later increase it to 5x or 10x which may later not be good. Some traders are like me and they may prefer to see something like this on exchanges.
I totally agree with you and I fully understand that you're trying to achieve. I believe the only possible way to achieve such goal is a create an extension that you can control, and that function that of extension should be to adjust your leverage from 2x to 10x max.

That way you don't really have to rely on an exchange's features and you'll have complete control over your leverages. I think making of an extension isn't very difficult. It can be done easily and it can be very helpful. I think a tampermonkey script could also can also do that for you.

As far as I know, no exchange offer that feature. But, it's not something that you should be worried about because most of the exchanges allow you to set your fixed leverage during trading. I have fixed mine at 5x leverage to 10x leverage on Binance, and it has been set at that limits for months to be honest.

If you don't trust the exchange's limits then you may try to create a simple bot or get it created by a developer that should set your leverage at 5x and always checks if it goes over that for some reason. I hope that way you can do it on any exchange that you want and trust me creation of such bot isn't that hard.

Exchanges with Leverages, by default will give users a low leverage. Only users can increase a default leverage settings from Low to High.
No. Like on Bybit, it is set to 10x by default. It differ from exchange to exchange.

Now if you customize it to a Low leverage, you can customize it to High leverages if you want. Think that if your asked feature only allows users to set it for 1 year but can not return to change it before 1 year, it will be very inconvenient.

If they allow users to change the setting before 1 year, it does not help anything like without that feature.
What you do not like might be liked by another person. That is what I like and I do not see anything inconvenient about it.

I don't think any exchanges offer that yet,

But i have heard that there's demand for that, as many people see high leverage trading similar to gambling and because casinos already have legal obligation to offer self exclusion option. (At least for some regions). So it would make sense that high leverage crypto exchanges follows that at some point. I see it as a matter of time as it's similarly addicting as gambling and you can also lose everything in a blink of an eye by getting liquidated. With spot trading or with low leverage that's harder to do.
Thanks. This is what it is. Some people will prefer low leverage and they may want to exclude themselves from higher leverage and wish not to see the higher leverage at all. I will like to see such feature on exchanges.

I believe binance has this this feature but not exactly the way you want it. In binance you've got to trade first for a month doing Spot Trading before they allow you to use the futures and and leverage your trading. Also, they will give you some documentation, read it and you've got to passed first some assessment on how to use futures and leverage.

It's beginner friendly because they incorporate patience and education first before the exchange allow any trader to proceed to a higher level of leverage.
This is not what I want. Also Binance do not have what you said unless the exchange later changed how they were before. All I noticed on Binance after I registered 3 years ago was that I was asked questions that I need to answer correctly before I was able to have access to futures trading.

Haha, why to make things difficult what will be the use of that feature, just adjust your leverage to 5x if you want to avoid high leverage, I'm not sure any of the platforms provide such a silly feature.
You post is silly. If you do not have answer, then do not post. I guess you are even not a trader.

@ Cryptomultiplier and dimonstration. Thanks for your replies also.

I just hope exchanges can have this feature because I think it would be helpful for traders. But those exchanges may not like it because it might not let them gain as they should. More leverage more money for the exchanges to make in profit.

I have gone through major exchanges to know if I can be able to adjust the leverage in a way that I will be able to self exclude myself from high leverage for certain period of time that I wish.

Example is an exchange that has 200x leverage for bitcoin. But in a way that I can set it to 5x and not able to set it above 5x until certain period of time that I specify like 1 year. Is there an exchange that has that feature?

I can look rude but that's the cruel reality haha, because there's no productivity in this feature, yeah many people can say that this feature will be useful to avoid high leverage to those who are addicted to high leverage and cant control themselves of using high leverage and to avoid the mistakes, so this is not a testing ground my fellows, trading is a super disciplinary field if you cant resist against greed and emotions left it as soon as possible.

I can’t guarantee if this possible but Binance has an initial lower max leverage set for new account. The max leverage just extends when the account mature after the first 30days period of registration.

If they can customize the account of newbie to set a max leverage then it’s possible to customize it on existing users once requested it. Try to contact Binance live support and try to brought up your case because they might approve your proposal since it’s part of being a responsible trader.

I read this old news before https://forkast.news/binance-ftx-slash-max-limit-amid-crypto-regulatory-heat/ which Binance has lower leverage limit for newbie.

Try contacting customer support if they can manually change leverage limits on their users because I'm pretty sure some exchanges do.

But also though, practice self-control. You probably have a problem if you need to get exchanges to limit your leverage threshold for you to not use it. Like how gambling addicts tell gambling sites to shutdown their accounts.

Am yet to notice any such settings for exchanges that use leverage. Since it is a feature that allows traders to have access to funds they won't or don't have, inorder to strengthen their market position, many exchanges may even require KYC from the individual and some time spent on the exchange before allowing traders to access this feature.
Everyone would love the profit much more than the loss if they can get to use an exchange in which the leverage can be set or adjusted to suit ones strategy and pace, but it is highly unlikely an exchange would be too good to allow the users have all the advantage over them.

With leverage, traders can enter larger positions than they would be able to with just their own funds, potentially magnifying their profits or losses.
