Pitch forks and flaming torches about because some one *might* be a risk...

Hmm... that sounds familiar...

@LoyceV was right, PureMixer (I am not afraid to name names because I'm not linking anywhere) *might be* orchestrating an exit scam!

Now if you go to their page (which now I have two reasons not to link to) you are just redirected to some spam website in Russian language.

* Onionsite (which I also won't link here) seems to go to the original service. So either the above it true, or just the clearnnet domain has been taken away or shut down.

The domain clearnet is parked and I think it is an automatic page from the registrar. The most likely scenario is that they have not extended the hosting.

Yes, I'm an asshole
Problem with this alleged ''glitch'' is that now since services like this are not available in bitcointalk forum they will just move to another forum platforms and continue business as usual.

I believe that there will be enough users who will follow things on other platforms, However, this ban will have a bad effect on checking the legality of certain services.

I just noticed that this account still has a link to its clearnet site in the website bio on the profile page. I hope theymos uses notifications, so I'll try this way to draw his attention.

I think the "sanction" given to mixer accounts will only be putting their account on PM-only mode? Anything related to their platform, unless it got affected by the word-filter, will left as how it be, as long as they did not make any new advertisement?

Note that the timeline will be something like this:
 - Sometime on Jan 1 (at an arbitrary time, not midnight), the wordfilters will be put into place, the announcement threads will be locked, and mixer-run accounts will be put into PM-only-mode. If any threads/accounts are missed after all of the other ones are affected, please report them. If new wordfilters should be added, please post in a topic in Meta about it.

I think that the ban will be in stages, and in the coming days the signatures of mixer campaigns, avatars, websites and other things will be removed, but without a promotional campaign, it is rare for someone to go to that scammer’s account and click on the existing link.

There should be easy to find aggregate of negative trust feedbacks for cases like this.

I don't know how we can warm someone about shady scams ready to happen if they are not allowed to be mentioned here in forum?  Tongue

While currently it's still allowed to talk and discuss (not promote!) centralized mixers, it's going to be difficult if shady things come and light up some red flags. Posting links to mixers is definitely not allowed anymore and I assume any user with a developed account will not risk his account while walking on a bleeding edge.

Such bans will have negative side effects when you don't know exactly how open you can speak or don't want to risk your account with a too open discussion. Rules are always to some extend diffuse.

I contacted GazetaBitcoin once they offered me to wear their signature.  It felt as if they are incompetent and inappropriate for this job.  Their spelling was bad.  It seemed as if they are in a rush for theft.

I will support the flag.
Definitely rushing as Bitcointalk is nearing the deadline for mixers to be advertised here so they want to make that lasting impression kind of thing so they're the last one we will remember when we feel like we need to use a mixer service. I guess they got caught red-handed by @LoyceV. Hopefully this stuff not being advertised here won't start a chain reaction that's going to make scammers use the fact that mixers aren't allowed here to scam people of their bitcoins, I have the same fear/concern as @dkbit98.

I didn't notice. @GazetaBitcoin: you should read this topic, you're advertising a liar looking for an opportunity to become a scammer.

A competent and reputable forum user who knows his business and is committed to confidentiality. Keep it up !
Just curious what was the confidentiality? It's the sent feedback from PureMixerio.

Flag supported and left a feedback too. Such things are not acceptable. It's funny they thought they are going to outsmart forum members who are in crypto when many of these people are in their diaper LOL

Instead of being scrubbed, which will bring a potential scenario where someone stumbled upon the site and consulting to your site, seeing it not there and think it's fine, would you consider to have a section of list that should be proceed with caution? That way, the potential risk of dealing with such site will still be made known and we can mitigate the possibility of victim falling into uncomfortable situation

No, because it would only make sense if I included all phishing/scam sites inside the site as well. There are so many mirrors, and these kind of sites come so frequently, that I do not possibly have time to keep adding them all.

Such shady marketing stunts by [banned mixer] are beyond sanity. It takes a lot of time and effort to build trust and only a blink of an eye and such lies to loose it. I'm honestly surprised they admitted their fuck-up, but presented evidence was pretty obvious.
Flag supported.

In other words, they say that the mixer cannot mix 10 bitcoins, otherwise they would not need this “marketing ploy,” especially since the link between addresses became easy when doing such mixing.
Personally, I see this behavior as meaning that something bad will happen. flag supported + negative trust.

🖤😏
Fu*king lol. So they admitted it was a show to buy legitimacy? This is why I raised the question about their motives of hiring GB at the nearing end of the period in which the mixers were about to get banned, it was obvious that they were trying to buy legitimacy by doing that. And now this is the last nail on their coffin, they are untrustworthy and should not be trusted with a single satoshi. Not to mention that they merited a post where a member offered the noose in a meme to me, supporting the suggestion that I should kill myself. Untrustworthy scum move.

Nice job.👏👏

I hate that I can't provide evidence with this Flag
The scammer confirmed his self-vouching:
You saw through our marketing ploy, confirming your importance as a trusted forum member. Our respect Smiley. But you and other users, understand... The new conditions of the forum contributed to this cunning move on our part. Our competitors spent significant amounts per month on a subscription company, and we had such goals. But blocking branches devalues costs, and it was necessary to remain in history and raise coverage at the end of existence. An aggressive marketing strategy does not make our mixer fraudulent. Yes, this fact of staging for someone will mean stopping working with our service, but others will see this as a non-standard approach to solving the problem. It was just the "yellow press" and that was it. It is inherent in all businessmen, and we are no exception. This is not a scam and we are not scammers. This proves the fact that there is not a single victim.

The reason for today's problem: a technical glitch that caused the suspension of transactions in our system. It's nothing serious.
What a convenient way to end your thread 2 days before it gets locked by Admin and all mixer owned accounts get banned from posting!

Exactly!  Wink
every extraordinary action = fraud at once? who outlined such a template...
By this action, we only wanted to raise the turnover. And we consider this normal.

User PureMixerio and his website should not be trusted.
I left him neutral feedback in April:
We resolved the situation with the client and returned all his funds to him.
Niquoles sent 10.6 BTC (rounded for privacy) to address Sent. These funds originated from address Originated1, which had a round number as balance.
After posting here, Niquoles received 10.5 BTC (rounded for privacy) on address Received. Those funds originated from address Originated2.

Here's the kicker: Originated1 and Originated2 both came from the same address! I considered the possibility that Niquoles received Originated1 from OP's website earlier, but the site doesn't allow to set round output balances.

Here's what I think happened: OP owns account Niquoles and pretended to have a problem to look trustworthy after he "resolved" the "problem"! Who in their right mind would trust this website with $450k anyway?

[banned mixer] still retains the title of the most anonymous bitcoin mixer in the industry. Wink
You're lying again. Addresses Sent and Received are linked on-chain.
