They've already said the chips are confirmed to have worked, and with a high success rate. It's not IF they can get it to work, but WHEN they can can get the boards out the door.
I know they were testing the new chips, but it all went quiet, you seen any independent proof it works yet?

Well, if they were about to ship ASICs half a year ago "in 4 to 6 weeks" why would this recent accouncement of "working chips" be any different from the past? Plenty of broken promises so far.
Currently Avalon is the best you can count on on the BTC side, but even that is surprisingly hard to buy while there are so many willing buyers for it. There shouldn't be lack of cheap labour in China so the productions should be ramped up like crazy while they still can sell it
