Honestly as far as my experience is concerned you cannot get the amount of profit and value you're looking for without investing into the projects. Yes there are some platforms that'll allow you to play some games and earn some NFTs but they'll either be very hard work and gain of low value or a waste of time.

It's common sense that if a project is offering free play and they'll spend on you then how they'll earn through? The modes could be different but they have to make some of the revenue models in order to excel with this competition in the market.

Hey fellas!. I'm looking to get into some unpaid play to earn  crypto games that use NFTs. GameFi is popping off lately with new ways to play and earn.

Anyone know of games where you can jump in and start playing without payment, but they still have NFT stuff integrated in a cool way? Maybe animal/crypto cards.... We know NFTs make the game better or more fun instead of just seeming money-grabby.. yeah?

Specifically, I'm trying to find games that:

- Are legit fun even if you don't spend money

- Have an active community of players

- Allow you to collect rare NFTs by playing that are worth holding

- Have developers who are involved and keeping the game fresh or partnerships that'll enable sustainability

Let me know if you've tried any that fits my description above.. I'm Down to explore projects in my spare time

There are lots of revolution ongoing in the gaming industry with evolving projects transitioning from the traditional P2E to Free to play F2P. One of such project is Animalia which allows players to have complete ownership of in-game collectibles. Their native token $ANIM is also getting good adoption since listed on CEX.

Maybe you should be more specific about what platforms you want to play the game on. This is because most NFTS P2E games that are legit and trusted can be accessed only on PC or Mac. You rarely find them on mobile phones. However Decentraland is the only GameFi i have tried and tested. I recommend you start with it. It is accessible using the web so you can make use of your PC or mobile phones.

I know about decentraland, but I was referring to this newly introduced web3 gamefi projects. Going through the comments, someone mentioned animalia and that the project has also gained some listings..I'll have to check em out and probably update my content..

Decentraland is also good project but I am not a gaming person hence the reason I stick to buying and trading its token MANA. I believe project fundamental and partnerships influence price which has not failed me when identifying a good project.

You and the OP may also check out Animalia. Its a new independent free-to-play online NFT trading card game that features crypto-inspired meme creatures and gemstones. It's also powered by Binance Smart Chain just like Mavia and the Decentraland backed by etheruem. ANIM mainnet launch was just few days ago and debuted on Bitget as we also look forward to Binance listing once adoption is peaked.

These NFT game mostly revolve around the newbie buying the existing NFT or minting one with fee of course thats their whole economic if you re curious, if you don't mint NFT there's big chance that you are making next to nothing it always comes down to paying to get NFT, play the game, and then make money out of it, whether you gonna be profitable also depends on the state and well being of the project itself.
if you somehow find some game that requires no investment whatsoever to get started, usually its just a waste of time.
unless you are already contributing to the project by following from the very early phase like testnet and even in mainnet you did some retroactive then you will have chance of minting some OG NFT and get started with as little as paying fee thats how it works.

Free Gamefi is not popular, and you seem to be asking for things that are not possible. And if you assume everything is free for you to experience, remember that the number of participants may be very dynamic, making the opportunities you seek will also be small.

I find spending with the recent gamefi trend seems to be FOMO following the success of some newly launched projects, and understand that the early birds always prevail. So if you are not willing to meet the criteria, there will be many people taking advantage of that opportunity. Every ecosystem will exist and projects about this trend will appear, do your own research to understand better. For me recently, there are a few ecosystems that I still pay quite a lot of attention to such as ICP, DOT,... and the gamefi products on them are not yet vibrant.

Honestly, with most of these NFT games. if you're not going to invest and will rely on the free terms that they have. The profit opportunity that you'll be getting is limited and that's how they set this rule for everyone to invest and have that thinking that they'll earn more if they invest and have these NFTs. Anyway, good luck in finding those games that you like since I am done with most of them. I just don't think that it's worth it anymore and the fun is no longer there.
