Thanks for the explanation @Saint-loup, on the basis of your explanation, does it also mean your house edge lowers with every game if you need to lose?

In which case it does not make sense to me. But my math is never a strong suit, anyway, I always just stick to the principle that every new set forgets the previous sets. House edge should theoretically remain the same every set. No matter past outcome.

The topic is not about the video, it's about the article they've made in collaboration with the Youtube channel creator Minding the Data actually. You should read it it's not long at all and rather well explained. It shows how the overall house edge can increase when you need to win a previous game with a house edge in order to win next one. From a 4% house edge at the beginning, it finishs at 28% at the end with only 10% of probability of success.
They could post the text in the OP but I guess they wanted to offer a better presentation and get more visitors.

I like these kind of videos and I also liked the article that among other things discusses the mathematical expectation in the tower game. We all (gamers and those interested in games) need to refresh our knowledge from time to time and explore new educational resources dedicated to gambling and betting. In fact, there are many subtle philosophical points here. The article only touches on the mathematical aspects of the game, but sometimes it is important to explore the logical and philosophical aspects as well. If there was a similar resource on betting, I would also be happy to check it out.

Oh my -- I love this, it's part of the true revealing videos I love to watch, a true reflection of what I've been trying to point out for a long time about the casino branch of gambling. The truth about the martingale/crash games can't be under appreciated because it's just a natural truth unless we want to avoid the reality.

Since Roobet applied the region restrictions I have missed that casino, but when I was logged in I played it, it is the type of game that you want (and should) stay no more than 5 minutes, it can become very addictive, and in a way its odds are very much against you, although it is one of those games that seems to be the opposite. As for the math, it is very basic, but knowing it or understanding it will not make you more of a winner...

I'm not sure if those numbers are right because the house edge of that game is 1%, from my point of view the first step is 75% chance to win, and the next step is 75%/4*3, and that's close to 50% so, the odds of getting to the 3rd step are low and most users will lose on the first 3 steps, so, getting to the 8th step is really hard, winning bets with 10% chance to win isn't easy at all.

But it's a funny game, i haven't played a lot, but i like the logic behind it.

This is all there is to this whole thing because the casinos will have to be profitable to remain in business. The quest for a working algorithm, which the post is all about, is an age-long one that many tried but failed, reason being what you said that when you crack it, it won't be long before the providers adjust the algorithm to be able to remain in business. But it is good to see that someone is able to bring statistics (science) into the business and it really make a lot of sense.

I haven’t read the article but I went through the video “The math behind price picks” and I finally found out how flexible bets are being calculated - it has always been odd to me that whenever I make my parlay more flexible and opt in for insurance coverage I tend to have a very low payout - let’s say for example I had a potential win of about $100 opting for the insurance will remove a huge chunk from it and it will make it look less attractive and the more assurance the less the money gets to till it becomes very small. But with that video I figured out how they calculate it.

I’ve followed the channel and I’ll go back when I’m free to do more watching and also go through this article.

I’m always a fan of this kind of video before when I’m still playing house game like dice since I always create a setup for my auto bet. However, my faith on statistics gone when I met Slot games that is completely random and there’s no defined winning percentage every bet.

I think I only apply partial statistics on my Blackjack game but most of the time I'mw just betting randomly due to my game mostly consumed by slot games.

This is the first time I hear about the channel you mentioned, and I have to say that the video you shared (although a bit old, it was uploaded 4 years ago) is brilliant. I don't understand all the underlying maths but I'm pretty sure that they are double checked, and the way they explained everything plus graphs etc. makes you know why crash can be a funny game to play, but not sustainable in the long term.

I especially like the explanation about the martingale in crash, as they make clear that this strategy doesn't work (most of us already knew it) in a scientific way.

I haven’t watched the video but I think it is great anytime someone brings statistics to the community that can help people. Most probably don’t know the true odds they’re dealing with when playing these games and I doubt many run tests or dig deep into the numbers even when they’re available.
