What lol. Everyone needs to read carefully. I was a likening it to dns but it serves no purpose to web servers .
It would kinda be like usernames for bitcoins? So rather then posting your public address or scribbling it down for a friend you could have a more usable address like [email protected].

I don't understand. How can I get on the network without the Internet?

It's a basic idea but it makes sense. I'm thinking we write a advanced client that uses the bitcoin network with a advanced protocol to enhance the experience. The problem is at the moment you rely on the World wide web to find addresses. Bitcoin is decentralized but without the Internet people cannot communicate addresses. Why not add a simple chat system to a bitcoin client? It could eventually be advanced to do anything. Email etc could all be catered for on the backbones if the system.

Interested just say!

BNS would be much alike DNS linking a string of text to a set of numbers or a address. Why not do this in bitcoin. [email protected] . Something alike that. You would use the @ sign so that multiple servers could come about. Maybe you could be advanced and using the idea above use p2p. It would make sense as more and more consumer level people are using bitcoins.
