alright that's what i ended up doing as closely as possible. peak usage should be no more than 850 (less, really) and I got a 1050w psu. I can tweak settings to reduce power consumption if i need but it should be less than that unless i upgrade all the gpus to 7950s haha

thanks a lot!

alright, will do. have any recommendations for psu requirements? i'm getting conflicting advice from various corners of the web..

My 2 cents would be:

*A known brand like Corsair, OCZ, Antec etc.
*Calculate your total peak usage, and from this number chose a PSU that would have a 75% load for 100% system usage. Example, your system needs 750W at peak, then you go with a 1000W PSU.
*80+ Silver / Gold / Platinum

Hello, setting up a rig and was going to grab a Gigabyte 890FXA UD5 from a friend; I'm trying to figure out what kind of extenders I need for this board as it's been difficult to sift through everything. I have a 6970 and 2-3 5850s on their way for this rig.

Could someone hook me up with some product links on what I should be looking for? I assume x16 to x16 but it's unclear if it should be powered, etc etc.

Thanks!
