Looking Cool, maybe also add dark theme for extension menu Smiley

If possible you must also integrate Enhanced merit UI script into this extension.
It is much faster and better way to send merit to other users.

I also thought about these things, there will be many new feature.

That is looking neat, great job! I'd suggest feature to change text color too.

Thanks, that feature will be available in the next few days, currently I am waiting for google to review it to be public.

I'm just curious, what for? Extensions are made to enhance the functionality of a website or something. E.g., Grammarly. I love using it to improve my grammar when I'm posting here in BTCT. How and what would be the purpose of having a Bitcointalk Extension?

One thought came into mind that this might be misused and insert malware to copy the account username and password.
As in the post I found, users only install and press the buttons, all in one.
About the source code of the extension will be open source, and to be accepted by Google, the scripts must be clean.

You can't depend on Google checks, many spam/scam extensions make to the store and more often than not someone gets scammed before Google comes to know about it.

I already have 3 functions, it will be announced in the next few days.
I have a lot of ideas.

It is looking nice, and all-in-one solution is very good.
I just hope it does not use a lot of memory in the browser...

For me, I'd rather have an extension for all websites, rather than just one.

Besides, once Bitcointalk relaunches with a new theme, the current one might be redundant.

For people who are eagerly waiting for the said themes to launch for quite some time now, I guess this extension is for them.  The current looks of the forum seems good to me and is also quite a bit nostalgic, and perhaps an extension to change the appearance of the forum isn't just for me. So long as there are no malware and hidden code that will steal information or snoop on what other users are doing, I don't see this any reason why some users won't support this idea.

The current theme of this forum is working fine, very simple and easy to navigate and there are some board that disallowed signatures, if you want to hide your signature then don’t apply for any campaign simple as that. If theymos hire another developer, it must be part of the team nothing more than that because the current administrator knows the best to protect the interest of this forum.

As long as you don't put anything in that extension that will steal private information, I think you will be allowed to do so.
I think I'd be too paranoid to use a bitcointalk extension for just that reason.  I don't have enough technical knowledge to judge whether something like that is malicious or not, though I'm pretty sure I'd hear about it if it were.  In any case, even aside from security issues I'm not really enthusiastic about any extension for the forum.  Firefox already has a dark mode extension, which I use, and I kind of like the forum just the way it is--it doesn't need any enhancements IMO except maybe to make it mobile-friendly.

I just tried on chrome, if possible, I will do it for Firefox as well.
Although I myself am not interested, I'm sure many other members would be--so good luck on your project here.  Maybe you'll have a hit on your hands.

I found this post:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-bitcointalkorg-userscripts-add-ons-smf-patches-5148488

I saw some scripts and I have an idea of an extension for bitcointalk.
You can change the theme (eg light / dark), hide signatures ...
I am a developer, and I think I can do it.
It will be uploaded to google and the user will install it directly there.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions

But I wonder, do you want it? Does it violate the rules?

I would be interested in few of them if no data is collected.

BUT why dont you also create them for Mozilla Firefox?

Would be nice Wink

Some users may want it and some may not. As long as you don't put anything in that extension that will steal private information, I think you will be allowed to do so.

By the way, is the extension you are planning to make like an "all-in-one" thing?

Exactly, it is all in one.
Just press the buttons.
I see. How long will this take you to build? I don't know if you can really do it but would it not be better if you make one for the new software (Epochtalk) instead?
May be a few days or a week.
