Extra judicial killing. Is it really needed to war on drugs in one country?

If the extent of the effects of drugs in a country is worse that it actually bleeds to the government into the highest position and one have tried every humane way to fight it and lost. Then you can say that desperate times needs desperate measure. I mean if the drug people didn't stop with the humane way of actually dealing with this, then eliminate them with the stick. Again, the premise is you have tried all the humane ways of dealing with drugs

Not necessarily needed, but since most of them are from legit operations ( the cop says) then it is just fine. They fight, then they die, nothing is wrong there, it's  like another criminal versus police thing. Those vigilantes too who are killing addicts on the streets, since no one can apprehend them, then it's just fine again. Lets just hope that Filipinos would not worry about their safety with this killing that's happening all around.

I would only be worried about this EJK when it is happening beyond limit, like killing innocents(call it collateral damage, but still it is still a crime).

sometimes the police cannot avoid killing suspects especially when they are resisting arrest and fighting and shooting the policeman,  but for me extra judicial killing is not needed on drug wars, but we should also consider the safety of the policeman to fight back if this drug lords and addicts are ready to kill just to spread and maintain their territory.

Prisons are getting crowded and drugs are still on the loose. If we want to really make a difference and if we want to see change, we should take drastic steps to accomplish these. If ot entails killing bad people then go. Before they make more harm to others.

It worked, right? Before Duterte started his war on drugs, all the other options such as amnesty and awareness campaigns were tried. But none of them were successful. The people were getting desperate and angry and they fully supported the campaign against drugs. Even after 6,000+ deaths, Duterte enjoys more than 60% approval from the Filipinos.

Are you Filipino too? It's really a big issue here.

If it can't be helped, then it might have to be done, for example if someone is hell-bent on not surrendering and keeps firing at cops, then they are asking for it.

However, what is happening here is that people are getting murdered in their homes, even in front of their kids. Some of these people have even already surrendered before. Of course the only ones that would be blamed for these killings are either the syndicates or the cops themselves.

I agree with you my friend
No, because the war on drugs is a shame, farce, and a complete joke. It is all propaganda being fed to us by governments when in reality if you look at the stats if you legalize drugs the rate of drug use goes down, the rate

of abuse goes down, drug deaths go down, and more money is freed up from police and public health care. Win-win-win-win-win but no lets have a "war on drugs" so that those helpless individuals can be more helpless.  Cheesy
