What happens when you've reported scam ads. If they're taking down scam ads it's showing commitment by Facebook but they shouldn't promote scams in the first place. They've got resources to make sure each ad gets seen by a human before it's published. I'd say Facebook isn't behaving responsibly until they've tried their best to stop scam ads.

Then, I'll suggest you to write email to their security and perhaps marketing team about how they should behave and what criteria should they look for instead of writing it here because, as I am sure you can guess, it's rather pointless.

Reporting them's a good idea but Facebook should be doing more to remove fake ads. The ads should've been checked by humans before being shown to ppl. They shouldn't allow AI to certify ads because scams will get through.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that as always. With the number of fake/scam ads in facebook, it's obvious that there's no human behind accepting such ads, as long it doesn't fall against their terms of ads i guess it always be approved and shown to those millions of users on their platform

It's one of the biggest advertising sites in the world so they've got responsibility. They shouldn't display ads to customers if they didn't check for scams. Facebook should check every ad before posting it they shouldn't put profit before safety of their users.

Those are usual Facebook ads. Facebook does not monitor what they are advertising. I believe they do not verify the ads, so we see scam ads. I often see crypto casino ads showing fake winnings and the balance credited to the bank, etc. The funny thing is they use Google Translate to write our local language, and those ads are pure garbage.

They use some words that do not mean anything. Scammers use Facebook ads to run various scams like money doubler website, and fake products that do not have any real usage. The important thing is, you have to use your common sense to stay away from those scams.

I usually report scam ads, but i rarely see them since i always clear cache/data my fb app, clear cookies my used browser so i usually see random ads not a targeted one related to crypto/bitcoin.

I'm not saying that you don't do something but all you do on Facebook is to report it's just a waste of time, I usually report 5 ads and then ignore all the others, Scammers are well funded so they keep showing ads, and Facebook marketing just lets those ads show up.

Lol. Scamadviser should've just sticked to listing pros and cons instead of drawing out scores alongside with conclusions that could be misleading for the gullible people

You're right about leaving fake reviews. There is even a buy/sell market for such things. Anyhow, I tried to leave a negative review yet I'm not seeing it showing up. Perhaps, it might take time. Has anyone tried?
I also tried writing a review, but it did not appear either. Perhaps new reviews will be held for review first by the Scamadviser team. What I see is that the Scamadviser website cannot be relied upon as a 100% reliable source because most of its analyses, reviews, and information are not accurate and could be wrong in most cases due to the large number of sites that are analyzed through them on a monthly basis, as they mentioned, in the following quote:

We tried to analyze the content of the website but we failed. It may mean a temporary technical error, that the site is not active, there is no content, or that the website is actively blocking our efforts to analyze the information it is offering. As we analyze more than 2 million websites every month we recommend caution. Extra research to determine if this website is legit or a scam is recommended.

Also, the Scamadviser algorithm related to trust scores may depend on the social media activities of the scam platform and the positive reviews published on many popular review platforms, which may be fake and shill reviews written by the platform team.

Take a look at the accounts of people who wrote positive reviews. You will find that they are new accounts that have only one review about the Afexeu website, and most of them were published on 23/05, this is a red flag indicating that these accounts were created specifically for this purpose and to mislead people.

e.g.

It seems that afexeu.com is legit and safe to use and not a scam website.

... Websites that score 80% or higher are in general safe to use with 100% being very safe.

Yes, you could list valid SSL, etc as a positive but we all know many scammers have them as well hence these conclusions ain't helping.

Since i joined on some online security related fb group I saw some instances that some of the community report some of these obvious scam yet facebook just rejected their report and continue showing the ad lmao, even some famous fb personality reporting those scam ad doesn't work.

I can relate I used to report a lot of ads but they keep popping up in my feeds so I just choose to hide ads in one Facebook setting, and most of the time it works, on social media you are the product so you are part of their algorithm and once you are part of it the ads just keep coming, it's better to prefer to hide ads or totally ignore all the ads on Facebook compared to other sites there are annoying pops up, on Facebook, it's part of your feeds and you can continue to scroll and it's not that annoying.
I'm not saying that you don't do something but all you do on Facebook is to report it's just a waste of time, I usually report 5 ads and then ignore all the others, Scammers are well funded so they keep showing ads, and Facebook marketing just lets those ads show up.

Facebook shouldn't show scam ads. If they're reported they've got to be removed instantly. Scammers aren't wasting time by playing games they're after your money. They'll make fake videos if it helps their cause. What's important about your search history's what makes Facebook show ads. Their algo shows ads you'll be interested in so if you’re looking at cryptocurrency pages they'll show you cryptocurrency ads.

This fake news  video must have been done by scammers and I always report the ads but it comes back again. I also saw the comments in Facebook that the platform helped them earned money but I believe it is a fake comments made by scammers with fake or hacked Facebook profile.

Facebook ads are targeted to people like you who are looking for such services. Facebook does not check whether the ad is a scam or not, they approve the ad without checking the website in detail. Because no one cares about you if you fall victim to a scam by seeing ads on their platform, everyone focuses more on how to run their business, and Facebook is no exception. Facebook has not moderated ads before, yet they are doing the same thing. So if you see any advertisement on Facebook, it is a good decision to refrain from clicking on them to avoid being a victim of any scam.

How am I creating backlink?
You put the links of the scammers in the topic and this leads to the possibility of visiting the links by clicking on them intentionally or by mistake, so you have to put the links within a text of code like this:

Code:
https://ifinma.com/firm?id=320
or
Code:
https://ifinma*****

Also this link looks like a referral link? Why not put the name of the site only without links so as not to help scammers and so that some do not think that the referral link is for you.

That's how every big companies selling their ad space to anyone who wants like Google. They will announce that they have strict protocol accepting ads so that authorities won't go to them asking things, yet you will see an obvious annoying and scam ads almost everyday, thinking how their quality assurance work.

Hello,

Why does Facebook allows ads for Elon musk to present opportunity for bitcoin auto trading using Quantum AI?

You are talking about Facebook while Elon musk own platform twitter is big promoter of these scam project and there is no strict rules for these scammers any where, even google search engine you will see many phishing sites which has been reported many times here.

The strange thing that scamadviser give afexeu dot com a very good score how can that happen? They write fake good reviews to give the rating high?
Yes quite possible because buying review is possible and there is whole team who are working on giving fake reviews.

I requested you to change website to non clickable because it will create backlink and free promotion here too. I have changes in quote tweet too so that make easy to edit the post.

Sounds like an old-timer scammer. Making you install software so they can access your computer is from the time of dinos. If you still fall for it, I don't know what that would make you.
$250 still is hard to earn these days, you won't get that by just sitting on your porch so it's best to just ignore those calls and move on.

Just like any other scam today, they can make people believe the testimonies and ranking. They know people will research them and find out the truth so they set up those good ratings and pay reviewers.

It's not professional at all if you've seen this kind of scam tactics before, it just looks like a normal $2 wordpress template. You should also notice the similarity of some of the following site layouts which I believe are also run by scammers:

- coinvexpro.com
- first-coin.net
- ada-coin.com

Hi Acroman08,

Out of curiosity, would you mind posting the video you saw?

Sorry I don’t have the video but if I see another one will post it here.

Hello

Today I just received a call from scammer from the uk fake number +5140887296 and asked me to install any desk screen sharing and I told them not to access my personal information and they said I have nothing to do with your personal information I am just helping you to set up the new account to start trading  and I hanged up. I was just messing up with scammer pretending to trade with them. However when I hanged up I receive five missed calls from different numbers. I did not give my real number just a virtual number from my app.
I was given the website www.ethertrader.cc and the website looks professional and claimed to be featured on cnn and other news. However when I looked at the domain on Whois, it is hosted by Sarek Oy. I searched it on google and found that the hosting company is scam. Just go to third result in google and look for shutting down scam site.

At the footer of the website ether trader I noticed they have the uk address which is fake and registration number but upon looking at the registration number, it is regulated in Marshall island and upon checking the regulatory body I found this from this site:

ETHER LIMITED

iFinma LN8318167 – 2116-03-14
Operating Trademark
https://ethertrader.cc
Registered office address
20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England
Company status
ACTIVE
Company type
Private Limited Company
Incorporated on
2016-03-14
Accounts
N/A
Confirmation statement
N/A

This is contradictory because according to Whois the domain name for ethertrader.cc is registered on December 19th 2022.

There is also spelling mistake on the website where on the menu tab it says for the costumers instead of customers. The regulatory body seems to have the fake uk address with domain name registered on Marshall island.

I figured out how the scam works. Tell me what u think?

Facebook might don't know that the site is scam so much better if you know that the platform advertise using facebook is scamming and you have evidence to show then report it to them since for sure they do some action with the those scams reported to them.
Scammers are smart nowadays they use popular figure just to gain attention especially for those newbies who's innocent of such deceiving tactics they made.

Hello,

Why does Facebook allows ads for Elon musk to present opportunity for bitcoin auto trading using Quantum AI?
I noticed in the video that Elon Musk is speaking about the AI platform that it can auto trade with $250 USD minimum deposit and help people become rich in a short amount of time. This fake news  video must have been done by scammers and I always report the ads but it comes back again. I also saw the comments in Facebook that the platform helped them earned money but I believe it is a fake comments made by scammers with fake or hacked Facebook profile.
These scammers that have been using like videos of Elon Musk that talks in a convention and then putting it up like it's theirs and put some text about their project is also popular in YouTube hacked accounts. And those comments that are supporting these scammers are also them, it is obvious that those are fake accounts too. Honestly, just like YouTube, Google, Facebook(Meta) isn't really strict in terms of these ads that are coming out to our feed. In fact, there's one that I've reported before about a fake ledger IPO and it's a sponsored ad.

I just installed an app called text me with a virtual phone number and not my actual number to see how thee scam works and I get calls from different number from different countries so scammer encourage me to sign up and deposit the money but I hang up the phone. The scammers claimed the trading website is regulated in Canada and UK which is not true. This are the website www.bethebank.site which seems to be offline and www.afexeu.com but unregulated and they claimed company not regulated is not a necessarily a scam and they said I can try with $250 dollars and see how it works and if it did not perform well I can withdraw the money anytime but that seems a lie. Also one of the scammers who called me said they want  me to install any desk so they can have access to my pc to set up the account but I never gave them access nor deposited the $250 dollars.
A lot of red flags already.

  • Allowing someone, a random stranger to remote access your PC
  • Huge deposit
  • Giving you rapport and trust that you can withdraw anytime

The strange thing that scamadviser give afexeu.com a very good score how can that happen? They write fake good reviews to give the rating high?
Yes, many from there are fake and paid reviews.

You can block their (advertising) servers, I've blocked more than 800 facebook URLs from my hosts file. See StevenBlack/hosts, scroll down a bit, and copy the hosts file you like. The internet is a much nicer place without social media and targeted advertising Smiley

Facebook ad algorithms are so bad for taking down fraudulent content, I think they just work manually.

That means the data sources they use do not contain sufficient conditions to change the review status of scam sites to "dangerous". They also collect visitor reports, you can use that to add negative points to review list.

Facebook rarely moderate the ads that are being posted on their platform, so there is no surprise there. the video you saw is most likely a deep fake video created by the scammers. I've seen similar videos before where known individuals are being used on their "advertising video" to promote their scam project.

Also one of the scammers who called me said they want  me to install any desk so they can have access to my pc to set up the account but I never gave them access nor deposited the $250 dollars.
Good decision, this will definitely go bad for you if you let them have access to your PC.

Hello,

Why does Facebook allows ads for Elon musk to present opportunity for bitcoin auto trading using Quantum AI?[
They do not investigate and they are not trained to check if the project or platform is a scam they only act if these are reported, but in the first place why would they, they are going to pay and that will support their platform

You did the right thing this is how they scam people by getting access to your computer I have seen this method several times on Youtube not only as a trading platform but they also act as a call center from a popular marketplace like Amazon
To see how scammers do their things check this video or better subscribe to how this guy exposes these scammers

They are well organized in fact they have a big group working like a call center organization and part of that is establishing the reputation of the platform they set up to lead their victims here.
If you are not fully aware of this and you are greedy you'll likely fall to this.

Thank you for the warning, but as I am sure you're aware, we can't regulate what facebook's ads show their users. All we can do is to warn people about possible scams, which you nicely did. I think there is a very strong basis that afexeu[dot]com is a scam. Their website only claimed that they're regulated, but there were no further info of who issue their license.

And "bethebank" rang a bell on my mind, but I can't find any record of them on this forum for previous scam attempt. I can't shrug away the sense of eerie familiarity with their name, though. Anyone have a better luck on this matter, perhaps?
