Anyone can make a facebook account and pretend that their project is developing but in reality there is nothing happening. I would suggest you not to depend on facebook alone cause you might get scam next time. Do proper research about the team members, whitepaper, roadmap and then escalate them.

Yeah, totally agree. Facebook or any other social media account's management is just a little part of doing a legit ICO. I always research the team members first and then roadmap, whitepaper etc.

One of my basis of a legit ICO is facebook. Why?
Because in facebook you can see if there's an update about their project; if the team is doing their job to promote their project. It is one of my basis, how about you what are your basis?

in crypto industry i think in social media, its better to use twitter to spread the word about ICO,, if we compared with facebook mate

Are you kidding me? SO you only judge project legit from Facebook update?, you didn't even mention twitter or their telegram group? Well you can't base your judgement on that to know if an ICO is legit or not, If you had said you check their Github page for code update, then i might agree with you.

Not I'm not kidding, that's only in my situation since if the project is strong they must also have a strong social media, they show us updates whats happening in their project..
What is Github by the way? Thanks for the response.

This is incomplete basis of a legit ICOs, Legit ICOs have strong marketing and technical teams. It will be better to go through up every social media for updates like FB, twitter, reddit, LinkedIn, telegram and steemit. Also more importantly Bitcointalk forum ANN, check how they are responding to the question's.

i can not use the posting of updates on Facebook to judge if a project is legit or not, even if they have a large no of followers they can still be  scam projects,  I know of a coin who was dropping updates everyday till the day the disappeared  with my eth after SELF-DROP. All their social media( telegram, Facebook, twitter and even their site  was closed and they absconded with peoples funds.

I think you should rather do more research on their site, Github alongside the social media.  rather than considering only Facebook updates.

that's a joke, there was so many scam icos are using facebook to promoting their money event bitconnect has been doing it in the past. Just becaust it's giving a little update doesn't mean the project can be trusted. You can see that they are all creating noise by making an update.
