Anyone as popular and used as Facebook, if they go crypto, they will invite all kinds of people to learn about crypto. The people will find out about Bitcoin, and finally go there. We will have worldwide adoption. Fiat will fail.

Cool

For me this is the expected news.
FB is an innovative firm and follows trends.
Considering that the number of crypto users is increasing FB decided to take advantage of this interest and profit from it.
Nothing new or unexpected.

Hello, I was looking through some crypto news and noticed the name of popular social media in the listing. Hm, interesting - was the first reaction. But the more I was reading, the more I was wondering what the benefit for social media users is. The talk is about Facebook.

Most likely you already know that Facebook has decided to come up with its on cryptocurrency and is currently searching for venture capitalists to obtain investments and, thus, build cryptocurrency-based payment system.

No doubt, this is a new source of money for Facebook as a corporation. Especially considering the recent scandals they had, i.e. considering privacy.
They want to secure their flows of profit. But how about users of Facebook?

As with including ads in Instagram some time ago, adding crypto transactions into WhatsApp can actually devalue social media for users.
To my mind, people are mostly using social media to stay social - communicate with friends, make some business contacts (if speaking about LinkedIn). They are not looking for buying something, for this purpose they go to online and offline shops, use Google to find what they need.

So my concern is: Do these social media corporations really think of the users or mostly about their own value?
Will be nice to know your opinion.

I think they also trying to make their value to be increased that's why they also entering into the Crypto field and I think there is no surprise factors involved in it.

Nothing lasts forever
It's obviously a good news since a big company like Facebook involving in crypto would give a bigger fame to crypto. The thing to note here is what will be the purpose of the new coin that Facebook is gonna bring to the crypto market. They say it's a stable coin and I wonder how that will benefit us. Anyway, that will remain a mystery until Facebook makes an official announcement. I don't think it will create a big impact since people will only invest in it if it has a potential to go up and I don't know a stable coin would make this possible.

I really encourage them to do they also can perform well while entering into the cricket field but how can they make it profitable for the people who are using this is the matter of success.

We don't need centralized coins, but we need their power to make crypto popular again

CLEAN non GPL infringing code made in Rust lang
I don't find it very interesting. Facebook is late to the game, WAY too late. Yet another token, yet another altcoin, meh. Most people will probably ignore it, unless he kinda forces the games or something else in Facebook use it.

As for whatsapp integration, my bet is most people will simply ignore the token.

If he used an existing coin, things could look different, but he wants control, just like governments. He doesn't get it, where the true value from Bitcoin comes from, which is why he will fail like most altcoins do.

The reason why i think facebook joining cryptocurrencies is a good things but it is not going to affect the cryptocurrencies much is because the coins is going to be a centralized one and we need a decentralized coins to promote cryptocurrencies idea well.

By looking Facebook actions regard privacy and leakage of personal data of platform's users we can see what is really important for this corporation. Besides that, first they were against crypto currency and now they want to come to crypto currency? How is it?
Zuckerberg is against everything he doesn't have control over, but once he gets it, he start endorsing the thing in question. Typical manipulator.

Negative. I could see the potential of them using it within just the Facebook ecosystem but to consider it a true decentralized crypto would be a joke

I think Marc Zuckenberg has already thought about how to combine his cryptocurrency or token with Facebook users, he can make a promotion or contests inside Facebook so that users can participate and win.

If you use Blockchain technology, it is very easy to handle all the processes you want, since it is incorruptible and there is no way to accuse it of fraud.

Facebook users, I think they can make a hierarchy, they can even grant tokens to those users that are older in the platform and that these tokens give some benefits so they can operate as VIP and have access to information that only they can do important .

Facebook can have a lot of market capitalization power because of the many users that it has, it can be that currency when leaving, it is very successful and little by little it will become a solid one if Marc decides to support it. With actions or whatever you decide, you can make the currency have a great future.

They care for their users because we are their products to the advertisers. But what kind of care is that? they mostly care somehow in a way to provide good service and add more features that we can enjoy.

But when it comes to anonymity and data, they don't care if you care for your own information. As long as you're on their platform, they have the authority to do what they want with it.
