Instant 500 million + market for their alt coin. Could be bad news for paypal too.
Facebook and Paypal are not in good terms. Actually I was hoping to use their rivalry to the advantage of the Bitcoin. I was really hoping that someday FB would adopt Bitcoin. Damn... not going to happen.

I hate facebook. People still don't get it? It is the best trojan horse and the best way to control and to know what people do, who they meet and what they eat. Everything. Back in the day Hitler and Stalin wanted to create similar databases of people. They failed. Now stupid people put all their data on some shady site like facebook? For government is like dream come true, total invigilation without much effort. Everything linked with facebook is evil. Snowden is right.

Interesting, but I reckon this will probably just become their version of Paypal. Probably all hope will be lost for them accepting BTC if they come out with this.

Bitcoin: decentralized, uncontrollable, hardly traceable with the right tools, fast, easy, useful - Really bad, don't use it!
Fiat bank transfer: centralized, controlled, easily traceable, slow, useless - Everyone should use that!
Facebook transfer thing: (probably) centralized, controlled, easily traceable, useless - Everyone should use that too!

This is a bad news actually. Their service can become a rival to Bitcoin and push its value down, just like all those shitcoins feeding off Bitcoin and then reducing its acceptance.
