sting2582000, have you got any proof you've been scammed?

I myself own an online business and find it hard to communicate with users who throw unfounded accusations like this.

I sometimes come across cases when comptetitors will write bad stuff to spoil other companies' reputations this way. Hopefully this is not the case here.

Bitdice is scam scam scammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Whats your feedback on this dice game?

I'm pretty sure that recent bets and top wins are fake!

Global rank at Alexa.com is 2,637,800 http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/fairproof.com

For comparation Just Dice http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/just-dice.com is ranked 242,837

Rough estimate of traffic at Stathow is surely not enough to get that number of bets.

I found many complaints about this site:
Fairproof.com scam, stealing coins thread
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/21zy43/fairproof_the_most_simplest_provably_fair_bitcoin/cgi0gi3 - The most provably fair scam there is!
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/21zy43/fairproof_the_most_simplest_provably_fair_bitcoin/cgi17ti - Looks like a good way to piss away money. The house edge is huge compared to real casinos (that also give free drinks and have pretty wait staff
Many users had problems with deposits and withdrawals (more info in this thread) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=288229.20

FairProof is a kind of bitcoin dice game. Website has no registration, user creates an account when visit website for the first time. Also he receives a unique url and bitcoin address to deposit funds for account. Account and url are connected with cookies, so if you'll switch off, delete cookies or use another browser, the system identifies you as a new user and provides new account with new url and new address to deposit bitcoins. Everything is described in terms of use.

We had multiple tests and about 50-300 users per day and the system shown excellent results. There are no issues except jberman73's.

According to logs and investigation of this issue, jberman73 created 2 different accounts, deposited the first one, but has url and related cookies for the second. It could caused by using another browser, or deleting cookies. The firs account contains the same amount of bitcoins, as he transferred.

In turn, jberman denies everything and trying to blackmail, post scam messages on forums,  send scam abuse to Hetzner - our web hoster. Hetzner has agreed to our arguments and didn't take any measures.

As you can see, it's a user's issue and his fault that he transferred bitcoins to the wrong address or lost a url. We cannot divulge account and url that contains bitcoins to anyone, it's a matter of security. If the user will restore url, funds he deposited will wait for him. You can check the mentioned bitcoins wasn't spent.

We have unwavering position: we do not disclose user data.

I am well versed in cookies.  I did not remove the cookies from my browser.  Would you have a problem returning the BTC to the address it was sent from?  This would solve the issue.

As soon as Moderate called you out the money was moved out of the address.  WTF???

So you are not going to work with me to resolve this issue?  I guess the lesson here is that that if there is a glitch with FairProof.com you will not work with the depositor to help resolve the issue.

Scam is not a glitch, it is a feature embedded in this kind of operator.

Anyone should've suspected of the so claimed "Have a look at top 5 big lucks for last 24 hours", do you have any doubt those are completely fake ?

Code:
Date & time Bet Multiplier Win
20:27:51 22/Nov/2013 0.962900 98.10 93.497590
03:23:59 22/Nov/2013 0.953600 98.10 92.594560
08:43:38 22/Nov/2013 0.855000 98.10 83.020500
22:28:07 21/Nov/2013 0.752500 98.10 73.067750
00:25:22 22/Nov/2013 1.000000 49.05 48.050000

So I guess we all should assume FairProof is not interested in responding?

We didn't take your money. As you can see, your bitcoins are unspent, you can check it on bitcoinchain: https://blockchain.info/tx/d741691e71379900864ec41e50f287905a17ed211ddee6008c59cc6c0d47eecc

It looks like you've deleted your cookies or log out. Fairproof is anonymous game, where you log in automatically if you have enabled cookies.
Unfortunately we can not give you link to the account with the same amount of bitcoins you have mentioned, because there is no proof that it's your money.
Your issue is the first of the kind. No one had this problem before.

You can't be that incompetent... if the guy made a deposit there is a trivial way to check he owns the address used, and why wouldn't that be enough proof for you to send his coins back ? I really hope I don't need to explain how to do that, because otherwise you shouldn't be touching bitcoin services.

Hey FairProof,

Please address my posts below.

Has anyone sent coins to FairProof.com?  I sent them some coins and they "vanished."  I have emailed customer support several times and it takes them 1 to 3 days to get back to me.  Their customer service is terrible.

I think they link your account to you IP address and drop a cookie in your browser.  They also give you a link to use so you can access your account without logging in.  I used the link they gave me but my account still has a zero balance.  I send them the link but they are telling me that's the wrong link and the money is sitting in my account.  So I guess the money is lost forever?

Is anyone else having issues?

So I've been dealing with customer service for over a week now and they seem useless.  It appears as if they don't have a real customer service team.  It's probably one of their employees who responds to customers when he has some free time.  I am not saying FairProof.com or FairProof is a scam or a ponzi scheme, however I would be extremely weary of sending them any Bitcoins.  They might vanish like mine did.

I've specially registered in bitcointalk to claim fairproof as a scam.
I'v been playing fairproof for about a months, and won about 15 BTC during October. I've even made a couple successful withdrawal.
Yesterday I've bet 1 BTC that the number would be bigger than 98 and the number was 99!!!
I was extremely surprised.
According to the site, I should get 98.1 BTC. But now I can not withdraw funds. After i press proceed button I get connection error message.
But my game is even on the front page "5 big lucks":
https://i.imgur.com/X2K2MwN.png

I've sent a message via feedback form but still have no response.
Is there another successful winners, because there a lot of big wins everyday? Do you manage to withdraw your funds?

You have two threads open - this one and https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/fairproof-the-simplest-provably-fair-bitcoin-lottery-19-house-fee-286972

You might want to close one of them.

Yes. I've just noticed and locked another topic.

Game updates:

- house edge is reduced to 1.9%
- improved game mechanics: do multiple bets in one click
- now you can set your own client seed
- small bugs are fixed

Yeah, thanks for the huge house edge reduce, but can you further reduce it to 1%?

Or you could reduce it even further to 0.5% :-)

I'll make the changes so user would be able to set his own client seed.
Also house edge will be lowered.

Thank you for the feedback!

Lower the house edge to 0.1%, you will have the best house edge ;-)

How do you change the client seed?
Randomize function changes both seeds: server and client.
You can do randomize multiple times.

What do you mean by server and client seeds and hashing speed? How does it apply to your site and why does it make your site fair in your opinion?

How do you change the client seed?
Randomize function changes both seeds: server and client.
You can do randomize multiple times.

But I cannot pick my own user seed, that is the issue.

Also, why the 7% edge ?

If you can set a user seed, than you'll get a number beforehand.

According to calculations, 7% is a minimum profitability edge.
Go look at Just-Dice. They're profitable with 1% edge...7% min my ass. Its all about making your maximum wagers fit your bankroll, such as 1% max profit of your bankroll.

I can spout off 10+ BTC provably fair gambling sites with <5% house edge that have been VERY profitable for the owners.

Usability means nothing, what matters is the house edge. With your 5% or more edge, you'll be lucky to still be around in a couple weeks. No one will use your site with edges of .50% to 2% available, who cares about the graphics which such a huge difference. If I spend $1,000,000 on just-dice for example, I expect to lose $10,000. If I play on your site, I expect to lose $50,000. $40,000 difference? Yeah I'll take the unappealing just-dice layout over a fancy site anyday. And take my $40,000 savings and buy a new car.

Another lotto..

I feel like these have become some what a lost cause with opportunities to simply bet on SD addresses with high payouts or the higher PrimeDice & Just-Dice multipliers.

Best of luck none the less!
Tnank you!

Usability of mentioned games leaves much to be desired, so I wanted to make the simplest and user-friendly lottery/dice game.

It's not even a lotto or a raffle. It's more like a dice game. You bet bigger or smaller, he just changed the names. And my question remains unanswered. I can change it by clicking randomize, but how does a player set it to a custom value himself?

FairProof is the simplest provably fair bitcoin lottery.

The main point of the game is as easy as ABC. You top up your account for a certain amount and choose the range where you think the winning figure falls (from 0 to 99). You get your profit - the amount specified under the input field before you start the game - if you hit the bull's eye and lose the bet if you miss it.

The fair-play lottery is not just a catchphrase. Each drawing is associated with encrypted data which you can use to find out whether this or that figure was really chosen before you made your bet.

We do not use your personal data and get the lottery anonymity secured via cookies. Please make sure that you have cookies switched on in your browser settings.

FairProof benefits:

  • provably fair
  • instant withdrawals
  • instant deposit
  • fully anonymous
  • 1.9% house fee
  • unique URL of account
  • 10% of profit is given to EFF

Good luck at challenging the probability theory!
