I wonder how stupid someone has to be to believe that Elon Musk will just share the money with random people over the internet. why would he do that?

In fact, they target people who are looking for ways to make a quick profit and those who do not want to miss an opportunity. There are a lot of members in the crypto community who don't want to spend a little time researching what is real and what is not. The way this scam works is an easy and effective way for scammers to scam, which is why they keep using it. And crypto users are falling into the trap of scammers and losing their hard-earned money.

~snip~

The man has 59.5 million followers on Twitter, and even if less than 1% of them are naive enough to believe in things like this, it is quite enough for scammers to make a lot of money using his name. In the past, people went to rob banks, shops or gas stations - today they sit in front of computers and use human naivety to get easy money - times change, and with them the methods of those who operate on the other side of the law.

This fake Elon Musk giveaway scheme has been going on for over a year now, Elon has become the face of scam giveaways, this is because he is popular he is very much involved in Cryptocurrency and he happens to be one of the richest guys on Earth.
You can't stop scammers from doing this type of activity. Its because they are always after newbies and most interesting thing is that a large number of crypto users are now Elon's regular follower. There was a time when market was full with Mcafee related scam giveaways but it stooped with his death news. You have to go with this trend that scammers will continuously use popular and established business person's name on their projects to attract newbies because they know its the easiest way to mislead people.

Elon is regularly sharing his tweets about crypto and specially about doge. Due to this reason scammers also using his name on their project on a regular basis. No one can stop them from doing this even Elon himself can't. key factor is investors here. They will have to take proper decission before going after garbage like this. I am expecting very soon Elon will make announcement about his own crypto currency and until that day people's thrust about Elon's own crypto currency will not gonna end.

Newbies are always the victim, victims will just check on Google who is Elon Musk and if they see Elon Musk reputation and his involvement in Cryptocurrency they will give in right away without digging deep if there is such a thing as Elon Musk give away and if this kind of scheme is legit.
I don't think all newbies are same. I have seen so many new crypto users who made their entry on crypto universe with proper knowledge and they are well notified about crypto scams. You can tell that who are greedy they are running after Ponzi, Doubler and free giveaways. Its always happening due to their thrust of easy earning. Sometime I feel really glad when I see informative posts from our forum newbies and they are really talented. We all have to just help and guide them by providing necessary informations.

Most of those at the top of the crypto list that perform airdrop are usually scammers. It is better to check it on the page itself or any social media to verify if they are really doing it to avoid such types of scams. They will give an announcement about that just in case.
You don't have to check though, remember that if it says give away or free or something in the same term, it's already a big read flag and followed by a large amount of cryptocurrency, that's already a scam. No need to check the pages, you know that it's a scam already.

Those who are in crypto long enough knows already how to spot scams like that. Yes as my experience I dont have to check whether its scam or not. We can easily identify scams having that kind of airdrop example you mention but my concern is the newbie who doesnt really know what is real and what is fake. So I advise to check it, for verification, or they can ask here in our forum so that we can verify it.

Here is another scam domain, how easy become scam newbies. The domain is below.
Code:
https://egyptwindoge.cf
When I have been browsing Facebook in the morning, an ad with this domain pop-up front of me. So just wondered to add the link on the forum to make it searchable here. The script is very old as usual scam using it for a long time. Although old crypto users are familiar with that, but I am worried about newbies. So guys just are aware of this scam method.

Here is another Elon fake giveaway site.

Code:
https://getmusk.space/
Searched on the scam accusation seems that domain hasn't been listed here. Scammers always changing domain names with the same scam script. Just stay away from the scam.

It seems that this domain is no longer accessible. That's good to hear that it was taken down already by the domain registrar.

But checking the IP address on that site, it looks like a cess pool of other malwares, not to be trusted.
