I think if the giveaways given from Binance are still quite good and unfortunately Binance will not give it easily, there will definitely be an agreement that usually has to trade and reach the highest trading volume, while for the documents needed I think it is still a natural thing because every exchange place usually will require KYC to make withdrawals when they have assets of more than $10,000. So the conclusion is that participating in giveaways must be smart to choose.

Looks like this thread has created enough visibility and now chrome is warning that the site is a possible phishing site.

Always check the official sources like Binance official social media channels to see if there is indeed a giveaway. Also make sure to verify that there is no twitter hack going on.

To check phishing related attacks I use the follwoing website

The seconds one is very useful as it shows the Domain registration details as well.

Thank you for notifying me about this. Actually I never send any money to receive any giveaway rewards. Because I didn't find any giveaway like this. Same giveaways I found things like scam exchange, receiving bounty rewards and transaction costs etc. All giveaways have the same point, you have to send it first. These scammers take advantage of Binance trust.

I think it is those that are greedy and not contented that will keep falling for all these fake giveaways and so on. The truth has always been that, all the prominent exchanges, projects etc, hackers and scammers will continue building their scams around them, that is, using their features, template or whatever to attract greedy people then scam them just like they are doing in the case of Binance. Binance always known to post any activities on their twitter page, mobile app as well as on their website so anyone falling for all these will have himself to blame. Also, not just for Binance, for any giveaway whatsoever, visiting the website of that project is the best way to know how legit it is.

Everything looks legit, there is a live stream with the CZ or Vitalik and they ask the community members to send 1ETH for which they will receive 2ETHs. They just tell you that they need your verify your wallet at first by sending the transaction. Cheesy

With all those things like that, there are still people who falls from this crapped. Though you are correct there's people who already
knew about it and with that it's now lessen the chances of getting huge amount of money.
But scammers are only after with money, they are okay with how much they will be getting as long as there's money to collect.

Next time, don't just directly link a phishing or scamming attempt link in the thread, OP.
I've encountered a lot of these as well using 000webhost hosting sites. I used primarily Coins.ph in cashing out my BTC and turns out some new page just tagged me randomly and asked me to claim my BTC in their phishing site.
Too bad, it is an obvious one.

I just made fun of it by entering random characters and typing "You screwed up." in the login details and it's funny that it logged me in, well because it is a phishing site.

Only those who are new in crypto will be a victim now of these giveaways that offers the to good to be true with Free or too easy steps to claim, it's been long that I'm not joining giveaways and just focus on trading as its the only way to be profitable now here in the market. Did someone forwarded this information to Binance? I think this should be done. They might put this in announcement as a warning message. Or will forward it to their security department and they will try to remote it from the internet or search engines, or at least try to do it.

Those who are experienced know, that all what is connected with binance are located on binance.com/. Those who are new to crypto, might easily got caught with this fake page.

These are obvious scam still there are really few get fall for it and I do not know why there are users that will fall for it. Anyway, the goos thing is that majority of the users especially here in the forum would be able to determine this poor way of scamming or phishing.

But this is a complete disgrace to cryptocurrency dragging the name of it or being used as a medium of abuses which we actually do not like. I guess that we need to exert more effort to share information regarding on this kind of activities. We must be vigilant always so that we coule at least help minimize or even eradicate these abuses in the future.

These scammers are like an endless stream. you report their website right now then by tomorrow they already created 100 new fake website. In twitter they also trying to impersonate some popular figure and try to deceive people although it may not work for majority of people with logic, it seems they still trying that method of scam.
There should be an extension that blocks this kind of website embedded to the browser so that people won't fall into this scam.

If you are offered any kind of giveaway, you must check official website's social media or official announcement, for confirmation really they are offering any giveaway or not.

I saw other website that was giving bitcoin and ethereum giveaway using elon musk identity.
If im not wrong the website name is cryptoelon something, that was a fake giveaway because people required to send them some coin, and they will send back 2x or more to the sender. Honestly, i still wondering if this method really can scam people because there is no one will believe this kind of scam.

To be more sure about thing that has binance name on it you need to joined binance telegram and see if the event are a real deal and not just a scam that make by a scammer. If you didnt sure just ask at the telegram about the event. Im sure you will get the answer fast in there.

Imagine that you typed binance and you even double checked it and are very sure that it is the right word, when the site opened you immediately logged into it using your username and password. But you didn't notice that instead of .com it was actually using a .org.

I suggest also to monitor always your email account because Binance always sends a notifications regarding their updates. There are a lot of scammers now more than ever. Im not expecting any less from crypto. But i just dont understand these people, investors are just people trying to realize their own fortune but scammers just go ahead and ruin that.

There are these fake giveaways and send me x amount and I'll send you 2x to your wallet address on both twitter and youtube. They are often posted by legit looking accounts with millions of followers and subscribers. Anyone encountering this for the first time would not suspect it in the first glance as the account looks legit but it's wise to do a bit of research before sending anyone your money. It's better to not get free coins than to lose yours. And for the most part, someone giving you free coins would never asks for 100s of dollars worth of coin at first.

I think it's better if you'd follow their email notifications for Binance rather than getting news from random sites. Scam like sending first an amount to participate can easily be spotted and it's really a total scam, that's plain old to be honest.

It's very easy to catch up with the scam domain of "Binance" exchange. As you guys help, this will be easier to find scam domain. Some big exchanges have more legit domain than one. That case could be harder for us. Actually giveaway by top exchange never happened easily and before joining we should check twice. "Yobit" is an average exchange but has two domain names.
