It seems the Twitter profile is suspended due to violating the terms. That's nice.

During the upcoming bull run, there are a lot of such scam airdrops/giveaways will come. Let's be careful , avoid them and keep secure yourself.

How I wish Facebook and Telegram were also that fast in suspending accounts there are more fake airdrops on Facebook and Telegram and they are hiding on groups and pages/channels.
Airdrops and giveaways are things of the past, they offer zero value, and they just want to scam newbies into handling them there private keys for airdrops that have no use case, it will take a long time before these airdrops vanish because there are always newbies who will believe in these airdrops and shills who will give fake testimonies about these airdrops.

It's worth noting that this account does not represent 1% of the thousands of accounts that promote fake airdrops and attach phishing links explicitly created to lure airdrop hunters and steal their wallets. Everyone is responsible for reporting the publisher's account upon seeing any scam tweets. With numerous reports, the account is immediately suspended, causing the scammer to lose the funds spent on the paid X subscription or advertising expenses.

I want to point out that no one should believe everything they see without conducting sufficient research and verifying the accuracy of the information through official X accounts, whether for Metamask or any other project or wallet. Also, avoid making hasty decisions and interacting with these tweets and the links they tweet.

I saw so many fake airdrops with some famous brands such as metamask, Calestia, LayerZero and many more, twitter users are willing to pay for blue ticks to make it look more legitimate and easy to deceive many people, often I was also tagged by some unknown twitter by linking phishing sites in their tweets.

The point is to stay vigilant and never be tempted by fake airdrops that offer their sweet promises, it is clearly a scam because I think now twitter is also more of a hotbed of fraud to spread phishing sites.

Old means of scam, and yet it's still being used to perpetrate fraud, and people are still falling victim to such scams. If the Twitter account or the person who made that tweet has been brought down, then there is good news that no new victim will be affected again.

There will definitely be a report of those who have been victims of the scam from this scheme, and their wallets might have been emptied.

But one thing I need to ask is: is it going to cost Twitter a lot for them to run a little background check on the kind of ads they permit to run on their space? I'm not talking about the tweet alone but about submitting such a tweet as a sponsored post, which will receive more attention than it should in the first place.

This is ridiculous that it was a paid Twitter ad.
yeah, it's ridiculous but not surprising, all social media platforms are bad when it comes to regulating the ads that are being advertised on their platforms. I wonder if they ever going to fix that problem.

I agree and hopefully, after all these years, people who have been in the cryptospace are now learning how to identify and avoid such scams.

What happened: As usual, I was scrolling Twitter yesterday. At some point, I see a tweet from a random guy about Metamask airdrop. The tweet impression was good like more than 300k. So I became curious and tried to visit the official Metamask Twitter account. But unfortunately, there is no announcement regarding the airdrop.

This is ridiculous that it was a paid Twitter ad.
