I would have believed it, but Trump has already made it clear that he is against unnecessary military interventions.
I can't see how his track record will be any worse than any previous administration, but let's see how that plays out in the coming years. He seems like the type of person who dives in and asks questions later which is not a good combo to have with thin skin and a lack of education. Hopefully those checks and balances do their job.

Another possibility of why is Alec Baldwins picture being used in the newspaper instead of Trump is because of some reasons. I have said before that its just the mistake done by the company but what if the main reason is Alec Baldwin itself. Maybe Baldwin has a coming show in that country and one way of getting back on screen with tremendous endorsement is through that controversial mistake. If its true then thats one good idea to promote oneself big time.
He is getting paid and getting more global recognition then he ever would have if he didn't take on the role that he proclaims to hate so much.

It was a genuine mistake, and they were not intentionally publishing fake news. Dominican Republic is a third world country, and their main exports are sugar, rum and female porn-stars (Miosotis Claribel, Kristina Milan.etc).
Yeah right I think it was a genuine mistake. It was the negligence of the publisher because publishing a wrong photo and not ascertain the truth, so many are protest. But they've done clarifying and apologizing for mistakes they do, I think it is no cause for concern. It was a lesson for the media to be more careful and thorough in making the news beforehand so as not make a mistake.I don't think that a majority of the people in Dominican Republic will be able to differentiate between the Russian and the American flags. Most of the time, the news stories are made by trainees, who are excessively dependent upon Google.

Thats a very big mistake done by a local newspaper. By doing that they are making their credibility and trusted ratings down to the ground. If there are mistakes it is alright but to make a mistake with this kind of issue is another story. But it is unclear and it was not noted by the author how did they print their paper when they know that it is not right.

It's a natural thing in competitive of world publishing newspapers. Sometimes reporters & editors want to be the fastest in news updates. 30% news fault is their fault. No matter if finally appeared apologized for his mistake, but it still affects their credibility.
But apart from that, there are newspapers that deliberately make that kind of news with purpose of propaganda. Each country has a duty to enlarge the affection of people against their own country.
