Only newbies will fall to that, any websites that are new or not reputable that ask for private key will set an alarm to the community, this is what happens to bountyhunters.io bouny platform, after asking for a private key, ICO and bounty hunters have unite not to use their service anymore.

And what happened to bountyhunters? I missed something, can you please tell a short story? Thank you in advance

Please check this thread it was already locked but maybe this could be the reason why there is very few tasks in bountyhunters.io people are leaving because of that incident, it was an unfortunate event

It's a cheap trick everybody here should know that protecting your wallet should be your top priority and should be on top of your education if you want to be a holder of any coins, websites are going to lose their reputation if they asked for a private key, see what happen to bountyhunters.io.

1. Users should know how to determine who are the legit admin in Telegram group. You can identify that by seeing an admin tag across the Telegram name. If someone claims that he/she is an admin or support, but doesn't have the admin tag, you should not deal with him. Ask an admin first to verify.

2. When you check all the members of the group, the admin has a star beside his name too:

3. If anyone in telegram asked you to send him money/cryptocurrency or go to a site that needs your log in credentials/private key/phrase/keystore file, he shouldn't be trusted. Even an admin won't do that.

4. When you visit a site, always check and verify the URL first before anything else.

Information about phishing sites can be seen here and there online. The problem is that, some people tend to trust easily and not verify the user they are dealing with and the website they visit.

I've reported the site to:
** https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

PS. User in images used is not real, the only purpose was to show the admin tag and star to identify the legit telegram admin

This was a post or topic which was made by a thief himself, not a hacker just your run  of the mill thief who stole my account when bitcointalk had one of their data breaches and all our usernames and passwords were sold on the darknet. So now that I have gotten my account back I will be deleting all his nonsense. Personally he has some balls on him, to steal peoples accounts, then go around slamming people with red trust and scam accusations like he did. So I will delete what I can and since I cant delete the whole thread itself I will move it change its title, and remove any content he posted then lock it.
