Basically they came up with the idea of making this project a success by using the hype of the World Cup. Because they know crypto users are influenced by the trend and don't hesitate to invest in such fake team projects. As a result these projects provide a huge list of fake partners, but in reality they are all fake.
I remember during the hype of the Squid game movie on Netflix the movie has a huge worldwide success and there are many projects on Cryptocurrency that are based on or related to the movie, and many investors believe that the people behind that movie are behind or in partnership with the movie it became one of the biggest rug pull in the industry.

They keep researching what's trending everywhere, including social media. And according to that trend they start planing about the next scam. Currently Avatar 2 is trending in various mediums, I wouldn't be surprised if scammers use this Avatar 2 trend to come up with a scam website. Because they can do whatever they want to scam people, and spend money to promote it. After observing their activities so far, I understood this.

I checked their telegram group, and saw there are more than 11k members. Since Telegram members can be purchased, they have purchased so many members and tried to make their project look solid.
Scammers are doing this because many investors think that this is an indication that many people believe in a project, when in fact there are many service providers offering to bring fake users to their users, sometimes the developers are adding people without them knowing that they are added to a scam group, so it's better that you set the setting of your telegram account so no one can just add you, and many of them are launching bounty campaign to increase their telegram members.

I hate it when these scam projects posted about partnerships and post logos of these partners without something to back the claims of partnerships, obviously they just want to entice people to believe that they are legit

120+ partners and counting

The name "FIFA Fan Battle Token" suggests that it will be a scam token. These people will develop an attractive site, show all sorts of fake partnerships and get fake profiles from LinkedIn to attract investors to invest in their project. Most people will fall for this scam and invest their hard earn money in these fake projects.

They even launch a bounty campaign where the reward is their shit token bounty hunters should be made aware that they are going to get a worthless token.

Most bounty campaigns are already running on this model, where they get literally free advertisements as they will give you their own tokens. I am seeing this trend for last few years and it is still continuing. I wished if the bounty campaigns were limited to btc or stable coin payment and not in the native worthless tokens.

Good catch, many scam projects that put fake teams with stock images of them appeared with the entry of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where the scammers took advantage of the hype generated by this World Cup tournament to target crypto investors and sports fans, it is good that you exposed the FIFA FAN BATTLE CLUB project, as they imitated and stole the template of the official website of Socios.com, and I hope that no one of the victims fills out the KYC application via the Google form that they attached to their website for clients, because they may obtain these documents and sell them on the dark web or misuse them.
There are two ways to fake their team getting images from stock images and hiring or paying people to get their faces and create credentials for them I once saw one of my friends' face on one social media on an altcoin doing ICO and when I asked him told me a man contacted them to use his face for a fee since he needs the money he agreed not knowing that it will be used as a face to represent a project, and my online is gullible on this since he is not into Cryptocurrency.
A fake team with pictures coming from stock and other sources should be marked a scam right away.
