Would not be surprised if this is just another scam because we have seen how scammers operate. They jump on any hype and use it to market a scam.

There is no doubt what's really going on there, even though it could fool a comple noobie. Then again, that's exactly their target audience, people that heard about bitcoin for the first time when Tesla invested few months ago, and know nothing about crypto. People still send money to bitcoin doublers, let alone something like this.

Its interesting to see that after applying all the way of stealing peoples money now they are directly using the word Tesla on their domains,,huh. If you just take a screenshot and retweet on Elon's tweet i believe he will definitely make some fun about this fake project. We have so seen many fake giveaways in the past where these scammers used Elon musk's name and now its directly "Tesla". This time these scammers are so unlucky that they haven't got the exact domain of "Teslacoin". More or less many crypto user believe that Elon musk will launch Tesla coin in the future and if i am not wrong then this specific group is trying to take that advantage.

Anyway, You did a good job by making this early post just after getting email from them. Follow the proper scam report format from this boards pinned post area and edit your thread according to that.

I wonder how much these scammers paid for this domain name. As per estibot it is less than 100$.

Team is obscure at the least. Nothing on their twitter pages about such a ICO. Zach's twitter is locked away as well. Whitepapers seems rushed about some "secure wallet" or so, would not be surprised to see it copy pasted from somewhere else. Roadmap is a generic one. Many of the social media links are also non-functional.

Would not be surprised if this is just another scam because we have seen how scammers operate. They jump on any hype and use it to market a scam.

Hah I am not surprised that scammers decided to exploit the recent hype around Elon Musk and his purchase of bitcoin. That's what they do, always keep up to date and use whatever is popular at the moment.

Since website looks decent and with all the hype surrounding Tesla , I have no doubts that some will fall for the this scam attempt, unfortunately.
