It’s really a critical but yet underestimated issue. There are many unofficial wallet apps which look like genuine ones but they are not.

I would also like to point your attention towards latest smart phones with bio metrics support.  Don’t think that your bio metrics details are used only just to unlock your display locks or to log in your website account.
Since transactions are likely to use bio metrics as personal secret credentials in future, don’t lose it by sharing it with fake apps or even with genuine ones.

I'm not surprised that there are wallets stealing people's coins on the Apple store, anyone who downloads those without checking them first is a moron most of the time anyways. Always check the publisher, always check the wallet, see if it is connected to any reputable or already illegitimate companies or wallets, and then decide from there. Just getting a wallet is a boneheaded move.

Still, there are much more fake and malicious stuff on.Google store for androids but Apple store seems to begun to follow that trend. That is such a pitty.
Actually google store seem not to review all the apps code and i had strong believe that atleast apple will do so before listing any apps on store. But this seem wrong, both app stores should have strong moderation systems for new app, they seem to list each and every app who are able to pay certain fees to them.  Angry
But for first i'm looking for review this app, realy don't know they want for follwing trend then, when i finished downloading then open they app just *blank* nothing happens, this just make me sh*t, and waste my time for this.

The app Breadywallet isn't anymore in the AppStore just searched for it. Mostly Apple remove such kind of apps really fast when they know about the bad intentions.

Luckly i not using apple phone
hope there is no victim

Don't know what phone you have... when you compare Android store and Apple appStore you will see that there is more malware in Android store. Apple check all apps before they accept them in the AppStore but possible they were wrong about it this time.
yeah both google play store and app store ever being bypassed by those fake app or malicious app,i guess both didn't doing any review first before the app been published,it's such a huge mistake for a big company like google and apple

I guess even fake/dangerous application can pass through apple check before it released at app store Roll Eyes
We must be more careful when installing new apps even though they say app store is secure.
It will be removed when its flagged on the app store.

Use desktop wallets like Core,Electrum and Multibit. Online wallets are to be avoided. In iOS always choose Breadwallet and not fake ones like Breadywallet or the likes. There is no reason for you to choose another wallet on iOS as Breadwallet is loaded with all the features one mobile wallet needs. Same goes with Android, stick to Mycellium wallet as it has all the features for a mobile wallet. Always read some reviews about the wallet you are about to install in your handheld devices.
Or you can use official bitcoin wallet on android as well.
It gives you the basic functionalities and not much tweaking to be done in order to get it installed and running, and its user interface is pretty good.

Apple should delist it asap, should they censor the content before listing on the store? It is apple's responsibility, we can't tolerate the viral software there.

I guess it is better to carefully check the Apps before installing them. They might use look-a-like words/icons, similar to the ones that are more reputation. More of these will come out as the value of bitcoin increases.

I don't use mobile wallets just because of this. Only the core. Android is worse this matter btw. Google don't check anything. Anyone can put anything in googleplay. At least ios takes a look into the apps and removes the shitty ones.

I do not know what you mean !
lol. he meant to say that there is a fake bitcoin wallet in the apple iOS store named as "breadywallet", very similar to breadwallet. it is very clearly said in his blog post: http://blog.gsora.xyz/2016/dissecting-a-fake-breadwallet-ios-app i dont think that it is so hard to understand. so dont install fake apps which can lead to very bad consequences. btw thanks op for giving us such a useful information. anyway, i am not an iOS user luckily. Cheesy
Bread wallet and bready wallet? I think it's not difficult for distinguishing it,  hahaha you right don't install the fake app in your ios but for addition, you need for reading for twice before installing anything in your handheld.

We should really have to be careful all the times especially in the mobile industry. Scammers can do make fake wallets for us to use. They somehow creates a similar wallet to the famous or known wallet in the web. So that they can use your info.
