I believe his self-confidence is so high he's okay with lying as long as it gets him attention. I'm not sure what term can describe his behavior perfectly, maybe sociopath? It is clear that he's trying to get benefits by ignoring what's right or wrong and others' feelings as long as it fits his agenda.
He's too far in at this point. He knows that everyone knows he isn't Satoshi, but he can't admit he's been lying all these years because he'll end up in jail for the amount of blatant fraud he's committed, much of it under oath. He will never stop. Not to mention he is massively in debt and his lifestyle is being entirely propped up by the handful of rich idiots he has managed to fool or are complicit in his lies in the hope of future gains. Unfortunately for them, the price of BSV speaks for itself, as it recently hit an all time low of just 0.001 BTC.

I am glad that judges seem to be making the correct decisions when it comes to this fraud. I was worried for a bit that judges would be fooled by fake evidence so I’m glad that hasn’t been happening.
Bear in mind this case had nothing to do with whether CSV is Satoshi, only if he had been defamed by McCormack's statements. While it is easy to point out lies in his written and oral testimonies, I still worry that judges will be less able to point out the lies in any technobabble CSW spews forth.

And the most recent piece of CSW lulz: https://nitter.nl/hodlonaut/status/1684123886139453441

CSW wants the court to throw out the statements made by CSW, as CSW claims CSW's statements are "rank hearsay".  Cheesy

This one flew under the radar. I guess even the clueless media is starting to catch on that Craig Wright is a scammer not worth reporting on. The news will only report on you if you go viral.

So if you keep doing the same old tricks over and over again, the journalists will eventually tire of you and look for a new scoop on someone else. Why this happens? Because readers will also be bored of hearing "Craig Wright makes lawsuit against XYZ, CSW looses lawsuit against XYZ". It's not like he's controlling any platform that these people and journalists live on, anyway.

I mean eventually he'll have to run out of funding, right?

Last summer I spoke with a former BSV dev who said Craig is under a lot of pressure by his Money Men to produce some kind of results in terms of price action... things have only gotten much worse since then.

Basically, everyone who invested in BSV after the fork in 2018 is currently sitting on a loss. How he can continue to hemorrhage money like this and pull in any new dopes not already completely aware he is a fraud is beyond me.

Thats the thing, he should be publically shamed for actually starting down the road he created.

He will definitely be a big part of Bitcoin's history ut on the negative side unfortunately for him.

Like the judges - I agree Cheesy

Making all the CSW's lies and court losses public doesn't work in his favor. He's trying to get some attention all the time and sooner or later people will hear about his claims. It's better if they hear the truth first from us and all the other people who know what he's really up to.
My opinion in this matter is that the more people know that CSW is lying about being Satoshi, the better.

Unfortunately, I don't think he'll stop. If he loses in the UK, he'll go somewhere else.
You can be sure that he is never going to stop, if he was willing to go to trial over this then almost anyone could be subjected to the same treatment and be demanded by him, however I like the fact that he was indeed given the win but the amount of money that was offered to him clearly states that this was a loss for him, and while I think a great part of the community is tired of him already, it is nice to see him obtaining such Pyrrhic victory.

This is ridiculous! Who is funding his non-sense acts?

Sadly some people still believe in him for whatever reason. Some of them are definitely trolling, but there are others who genuinely fall for his tricks even after he's been exposed as a liar.

Craig hasn't stopped yet!!!  Shocked

For some time, I wasn't getting any news of this fool and I thought he had gone back to Australia. This is pure non-sense. Craig should understand that he has become a laughing stock infront of the rest of the world.

This is ridiculous! Who is funding his non-sense acts?

Victory will always be the latter end of every justified means while tye unjustified will receive their shame rewards, this does not goes to Craig Wright alone but every and actors who were into this together, they will be ashamed without a notice and to all those who thinks they can as well claim they are Satoshi, all their efforts is nothing to right about because they are wasted, an end have already come on every bad actors against bitcoin, Satoshi and Hodlonaut.

However, I can see £1 in the image posted but don't know what it stands for, or is that the amount he is expected to pay Peter McCormack for the damage? Or what.. Please  I will like someone to clarify me on that.

The legal battle has been a long one since 2019 and a past judgment mandated Peter McCormack to pay fakatoshi Craig Wright about around £900,000 to cover the latter's legal fees. Another court judgment reduced the damages to  £1 because Justice Chamberlain found that Faketoshi included false evidence in his claims. The current judgment upheld the £1 judgment of the other court. So Craig Wright will only receive an amount that cannot afford candy.

It is really sad to see that people want to gain attention and acquire wealth fraudulently. But this judgment is a piece of good news to the true lovers of Bitcoin. I know my Faketoshi will seek other legal means to continue his quest for attention and criminality.

Lies will never win against the truth. I'm happy when liars who claim to be the inventor of Bitcoin lose again.
We would love it if that kind of liar could get an embarrassing decision to be accepted that is predicted to happen in early 2024.

Although it's weird the verdict say faketoshi (the claimant) deserve 1 EUR.
The original trial was not whether or not CSW's claims about being Satoshi were true (they obviously are not), but whether McCormack had hurt CSW's feelings by calling out his bullshit. Since McCormack was technically guilty of that, then CSW won that trial. But since CSW is so completely full of shit, the judge awarded him only £1 in damages. My understanding is that by letting CSW "win" the trial, the judge closed off some avenues of appeal which CSW would otherwise have abused. CSW is now appealing on the grounds that he should have been awarded thousands in damages instead, and three higher up judges have all just agreed with the original judge, so all he gets is £1.

Still waiting and hoping the he is also forced to pay McCormack's legal fees.
the Judge was so over with CSW bullshit and just let him win and awarded him £1 and be done with the case. the fact that CSW filed for an appeal and claims that he should have been awarded thousands in damages shows how greedy he is. glad the judges shut down his appeal by agreeing to the decision the first judge made.

thanks for the summary

Does this mean Bitcoin Core client will be able to be downloaded in the UK @ bitcoin.org.
That's an entirely separate court case involving CSW and Cobra, rather than Peter McCormack. So no, this judgement won't make any difference.

UK users can of course trivially bypass this using Tor or a VPN, or simply download from here instead: https://bitcoincore.org/bin/

That statement "deliberately false" is so damning, the main thing is that he was found out bigtime.

Great. It’s funny, but I also hate it too. Are we still giving CShitW attention? He’s literally one of (if not the) the biggest failures in crypto lol, and he’s still trying.. I somehow feel bad for him in a way, he’s tried so hard for something he’ll never achieve and only be publicly shamed for it forever lol

At this point, he’s close to breaking records for loss streaks

Thats the thing, he should be publically shamed for actually starting down the road he created.

Brilliant interpretation o_e_l_e_o and good play by the Judge - intentional or not!

Overall, we are delighted to see this house of cards finally toppling and hopefully soon we can
move on and have all this BS behind us.

The judges agreed with the decision of Justice Chamberlain to reduce his damages to £1 for putting forward "deliberately false" evidence on serious harm.
It's goodness seeing Mr. fake Satoshi @ Craig Wright losing his case, because I'm still wondering why his there wasting his whole time when the whole community knows his not the real Satoshi and has no private key to proof for his ownership of the Bitcoin wallet that holds 1 million BTC.

However, I can see £1 in the image posted but don't know what it stands for, or is that the amount he is expected to pay Peter McCormack for the damage? Or what.. Please  I will like someone to clarify me on that.
