Now criptx doesn't sell in auctions anymore. He creates self moderated threads to sell his broken hardware: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptx-sells-a2-innosilicon-90-scrypt-miners-7500-shipping-in-stock-667875

CriptX has confirmed that he provided insider information for big holders of his Peta securities so why did you trusted him in the first place?
Hey thanks for this tidbit. Could you link for us please?
Also, if you hear that someone's shady, please could you update their trust, as reading their previous posts seems not enough nowadays.

Sure, it's in the thread for Peta, when Havelock acknowledged that CriptX has given voting rights on the changes there were to come (broking the contract in the first place) only just for few, those providing them with insider informations: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6990019

Read to the thread to find out more.

In that case you had some bad luck I guess, but then again you should do your own due diligence before giving money to someone for something (a person, a company or any entity of any kind) because nobody will do it for you.

He seems to log on at least every morning. No posts.
Has anyone heard from him privately?

It's been over a week, and it's now apparent that he has no intention of answering.

I've left negative trust in his feedback profile as it's the only thing I can do.

It might be confirmed to you, but unforunately I don't have time to look at every post he has ever made all I could do was some basic research.

He had sold a few of these in the past and there was nothing negative posted in those threads (there is now but not at the time I bought)

I checked his feedback profile and whilst there are a couple of negative posts, they seemed to be old or complaints about no support for old hardware.

I'm not affected that badly, out of 3 machines I only have 1 non functioning blade now, allinvain in particular has come off a lot worse with multiple broken machines.  I'm a reasonable person if he'd at least answered me I'm sure we could have worked it out, but I suppose he figures if he deals with me he'll have to deal with everyone else.

My local electronics shop managed to fix one of my two broken blades as it only required the connector soldering back on.

Sadly the last broken blade is toast, the connector is completely missing (it's not even loose in the case or the box)

Had little issues to get a new power cord.
And I have also a broken board connector (try to find someone to fix it) and an other board is only delivering half speed (any ideas?) could not see any damage on it.
So I only have 3,5 out of 5 boards working:(

how could your damned connector be completely missing?Huh?
Thats not getting damaged during shipping ! thats shipping damaged hardware!

nobody will sell it coincraft desk 1TH for 2 btc

just because you bought early and it was expensive and recently you sold it so consider yourself lucky & don't come trolling !
many bought it below 2 BTC ! but it's over now.

same if you bought it at 4BTC it is the poor packaging of manufacturer.

By the way, antiminer is for 3.5BTC + taxe to pay in EU  Wink so you will pay minimum 4.5 btc for 1 TH now

Overall the price was decent, the problem is the seller sucks at packaging (sorry cryptx buddy but it's the truth, no hurt feelings).

So I got my 6'th rig, and guess what, it did not power on. The LED display lit up but the PSU would not turn on. I tried swapping the power board with a different one from another broken rig - no go. So I just moved 3 of the modules to a rig with 2 working modules to make it a full 5 module rig and the modules from the new rig work (at least 3 of them).

I am thinking maybe the Raspbery Pi unit is busted or maybe both the power distribution boards are busted.

I have 8 dead modules! Sad Jesus shit.

Where are you, It can join my stack of repairs if you need help Roll Eyes

I'm in Ontario, Canada. Most of mine have the I/O connector intact, but they do not hash. The from PCB heatsinks were all totally broken off and I suspect they must have damaged the PCB. I am still hoping cryptx will swap them out. If not I guess I am out 1.60+ btc. If anyone can fix them I might resell them at a discount if cryptx does nothing.

Just today I got the 6'th miner I bought from him and I dread opening the box. My gut feeling tells me it will be in pieces too as I noticed no difference in the way it was packaged. The machine is loosely moving around the box. The so called "protective foam" was paper thin on the other packages and I doubt this one is any better.

All in all I think I made a big mistake buying these miners.

so, anyways, long story short, let's keep in touch....PM me with your e-mail if you prefer that contact method.

What is the hell! How could the damn power cable be so badly mangled?! Were these shipped through the gates of hell or something?

No kidding.  Really don't see how rough shipping alone could've caused that kind of damage.  Hope you guys are able to get something worked out with cryptx soon.

Well Fed-Ex finally delivered the last of the 3 miners (1 per day over 3 days).

Although the packaging is intact and it's the only that had no heatsinks loose, 2 of the blades have broken connectors, one is completely missing and the other has the top row disconnected, so currently only working with 3 blades. Sad

I have PM'd cryptx with several options to hopefully rectify this issue

bought 2 from the week before's auction. poorly packaged. bashed up by fedex. cryptx not bothered. similar power supply issues.

Hopefully you got lucky and got at least one unit with one of those Super Flower 1200 Platinum PSUs, but I would still recommend taking out the PSU from the case.

Hmm, indeed the packaging job could've been better. Out of 5 that I bought from him which were shipped 2 were totally destroyed. I'm waiting for another unit which I bought from a separate auction. I hope that one arrives in one piece.

I'm also hoping cryptx would either refund me or replace the damaged units. We shall see. He must be a busy man as it usually takes a while to get a response to PMs.

lol, another public service announcement. If your unit comes with a Silverstone 1200 watt PSU please remove it from the case and mount it externally. It cannot stand operating inside the case - hotbox. It will overheat and shutdown. I had this happen to be a few hours ago. The other PSU I have is some sparkle power one and it seems to be surviving operating inside the case, but I for one will be moving it outside the case just to be safe - hopefully the PSU's cables are long enough.

Those of you more enterprising would want to drill a 120mm hole where the PSU sits and reverse the PSU so it's intake fan is facing the hole - ie do what the designer of this miner should've done in the first place.

thx for the info ! my miner also arrived with the pins bent on the backplane , little rattling on the hashing boards but they did were attached, just some loosen screws on the bottom. the display ribbon cable 1 of the wire was broken, attached it back but only a red background lcd display showing blanks. besides that it is working fine with FW 1907. I got the 1200W SF plat psu.

Rattling secondary heatsinks.... Check

No idea where they go and machine is in an air conditioned server room with good temps so not too fussed atm

Biggest problem was only 1 of the blades was working.  Backplane was a bit loose so pushed it down tighter, 0 blades working Sad

Removed the backplane completely and most of the pins were bent, took ages to straighten them all up, but once done it's running fine now

I think cryptx needs to use a thicker box with more foam padding. FedEx is not too kind to heavy boxes.

Have any of these shipped....I've yet to hear from cryptx with tracking info.

Mine have shipped so I presume yours have as well.

1 of the 3 arrived today, the other 2 have only got as far as france, stupid fed-ex.

Ah ok, so likely mine has shipped but I just don't have a tracking number. Maybe I'll have a surprise at my doorstep sometime this week.

Public service annnoucement: make sure you open the miner and check for shipping damage. 2 of the miners I bought previously from cryptx arrived with all the secondary heatsinks detached and rattling in the case. Also one capacitor is missing from one of the blades. Hope you all have some thermal adhesive handy to reattach the heatsinks.
